Not sure about the LCI, but when I was looking at my 435i GC, the standard spec was much higher than a 335i. In fact when you added all the kit onto the 335i, the prices of the two were within a few hundred quid.

Of course at least with the 3, you can spec exactly how you want, rather than potentially paying for something you don't want.
