Buying a car out of state

Guys, Im interested in buying a car from out of state (800 miles away). I contacted the dealer, and I was told that the only way they can ship the car to me is if I was paying in full. If I was financing I would have to go there for the paperwork. Is there a way around this? Maybe process the transaction through a local dealer and have the car shipped? Thanks on your input guys!

Bullshit. If its BMW, they can fedex you the paper work, you send it back, they send you the car. I worked for Beverly Hills BMW and sold many cars out of state to buyers who financed and did not pay in full.

If its in NY get it registered when buying. If you have to transfer plates, its the worst nightmare in the world.... Seems like NY DMV does not want to register out of state vehicles in genreal.

Worse than pulling teeth.... Especially if you want to still keep your out of state license because you own property in multiple locations. Not sure why they don't understand the concept of people having multiple addresses.

I bought my car from a CA dealer and had it delivered at the PC. All paperwork done by email or by fedex. I was transferring NY plates, too. There should not be any reason they can't do it. Also, you don't have to finance with BMW, you can try a local bank
