What's your Easter Plan?

I see on the wires that the RAC is warning you folks of mass congestion over the weekend. I've never quite understood the British like for queuing. At the post office, bank, on the road, or at the airport. Perhaps someone could explain?
Anyway, given the above, are you staying at home, braving the traffic, or perhaps flying to sunnier climes?

If it's the latter, we've had amazing weather for the last couple of months on the southern coast of Spain, so if you're heading here, you're in for a treat

Easy 4 day weekend; have had a few days in Dublin this week with work; back very late last night. I'm bog eyed!

Got plenty of gardening to do; removed all the fruit bushes last year as some of them were dying off and others were taking over; so I've some to transplant into lareg tubs; I've others to buy in and grow in in tubs etc

I need to get out into the woods at the rear of the garden too and get a patch cut for where I'm going to fence it off; got my bush-hook sharpened today and my batteries charged for my Ryobi strimmer; so that'll be a job for tomorrow late morning once I've been food shopping (crack of sparrowfart to avoid the crowds) whilst the wife gets a lie in

We're all at my folks for tea Sat evening and then the sis-in-laws on Sunday evening for tea; so we'll be fooded out come Monday

Mrs is taking the kids to France for the week and I've got a couple of extra days off next week.

Going to sort out the vacuum hoses on the car. Take the bike out for a ride around the Peaks on Sunday. Also got a kitchen bar area to build at the holiday cottage we have. 🙂

Sold my F36 yesterday so I’ll be plotting its replacement.

Get a deposit on a Porsche Macan S but not sure that’s the way to go (heart says yes, head says no).

And I’ll be cooking the lamb roast on Sunday.

I love the Macan S, and got one specced ready to order. This time last year, Porsche were telling me 12 month's to delivery, which was too long for my needs.

If it stops bloody raining for long enough, I shall be doing some 'cutting and shutting' and tonnes of sanding and filling on the Z3 replica body which is in the garden ATM. I really need to get on with it, as not going to live forever but the weather has been awful.

I also need to have a good poke around the two new (to us) BMs on the drive. I haven't even had the wheels off either yet and had them for nearly three months.

If the weather is good, the wife will start 'pottering' in the garden. Then when she goes back to work, I shall have to do it properly!

Just driven to Derbyshire, which wasn't particularly fun in the wind, rain, dark and busy traffic.... Two days here seeing my mum, daughter, son in law and grandkids. Then back home late on Saturday night to spend Sunday with other half. Pottering on Monday....

As an aside despite the services being rammed, most of the charging bays were empty...

We have an empty villa near Alicante just waiting for us to go to but alas we have other plans this year. Spend some time with the family here, the mother in law is unwell so my wife is reluctant to go too far.

We had an invite from my Auntie to visit her in Falmouth but it’s easier to get to the Costa and get back if anything bad happens so that’s on the burner as well.

Feet up for me, doctor's orders, having had a heart procedure at the wonderful Royal Brompton hospital on Tuesday.
My wife even brought me a cup of tea this morning - which is a first 😂

Working Saturday. Sun, Mon - off.
Reading. A bit of gardening; just came back from BM garden center with a tuja in a pot so will be relocating it to a bigger one until I can find a spot for it. Some 3D printing; just finished a 181hrs non stop printing job. Will also be cooking leek and potato soup.

And back. Much better journey back. Had to smile that Watford Gap services had no fuel (for the ICE vehicles) but all bar one of the EV charge points was empty. Didnt need any though as topped up whilst doing some shopping for my Mum on Friday... so no inconvenience whatsoever...

Does sending work 7 emails before 10am on Easter Sunday count as ‘work’

No jollies for us, but having the painter/decorator start on the house in May would be a good outcome .

I can beat that, I was here taking videos of cars for customers at 8am to catch up!

Worked Friday, yesterday, today and now working tomorrow as a customer who has reserved a car can only come tomorrow #fml so will come in for 10 and leave by 12 I hope much to the OH's disgust. I just remind him it's this sort of shit and working hard that pays for 3 holidays a year and two new cars!

Cornwall in 2 weeks time for a week in the cottage so I'll switch off then after a hectic March and new reg.

Well, that's the fruit futures planted:

Decided not to stick them in the ground this time; they'll stay in pots, which means I can control their growth more; keep them in the sun more and then store them in the greenhouse over winter; so they don't all get killed off like the last 2 years have done

I was going to plant them here:

Now need to decide what to do with this spare plot

A good friend who is retired says "every day is a Saturday", so I reminded him not to go out on the 1st to avoid the extra traffic on that particular day

I've done Stoke-Nottingham-Stoke today, really easy traffic.
Speaking about energy, I've been passing Ratcliffe-on-Soar Coal Power Station on a weekly/two weekly basis and it seems that huge mountains of coal that it had has got down to like 10%.
Could that mean that it will be shut for real in September this year as being the last coal station in the UK ? Truly breathtaking construction..
