F80 rear subframe onto E92

anyone know if the M F8X subframe is compatible with e82/E9X ?

Looking at rear subframe upgrades for my E82 track car, E9X M will bolt right in, not sure if F8X will also bolt in. I realize the LSD is servo activated and that would have to be swapped with a regular clutch, but the arm improvements may be worth it. F8X complete dropouts are quite a bit cheaper than E9X complete subframes

If not I plan on swapping in a E9X M rear subframe

I don't know, however, working on both cars, their rear subframes seem pretty similar. There isn't a generational shift in the rear suspension and subframe between both gens

The mounting points don't look close to being the same.

How'd you go with this.

I am about to start a similar thing since m3 rear assemblies are unobtanium in Australia and I want my m4 brakes installed.

Bumping a 3 year old thread…

I think the rear aluminum wheel carriers might fit.

Only thing I noticed was his hand gesture that looked like he was cutting off the one mounting location…I know that’s not close to what he was saying

I found the video by chance, yesterday I was measuring the subframe on an e90 to see if I could install f82 subframe on an e92 m3 and the only measurement that was not the same is this:
820mm on m3 e92 vs 860mm on F8X

In the video it says that it is necessary to cut the 4 attachment points of the subframe because none of them fit, it seems strange to me...

But the best thing about the video are this:

Considering no other videos were uploaded since this pioneer started this endeavor, I fear the flip flops might’ve broken!
