Nice, but I specifically wanted non-ti/burnt tips. I am probably going to be painting the tips gloss black soon as well

BTW, exhaust is sounding better than ever. Crazy how throaty this exhaust sounds on the M3.

Really does sound good for the cheap investment it is.

Just ordered this exhaust. Should be here within a week. I have a catless x-pipe so when it is installed I will try to post a video up.

Exhaust came in and I installed it. Overall quality and fitment is OK. Left hangs lower than right and locations of hangers on mufflers are not exactly in the right spot. Oh well you get what you pay for and for 500 bucks it's not bad.

I will try to get a video as soon as this cold weather goes away. Also is about 10lbs lighter than my Gintani Race.

Are you cat-less? Curious how it sounds in that config

Thinking about this exhaust to replace my OEM exhaust mod, just scared the it will be over loud and drone really bad. I'm catless by the way.

i have been recently looking into this setup also.

i would bet it would drone more. have a deeper sound, but not sure which is louder.

Yes I am catless and have no resonators. I took it for a drive today. It honestly does not drone very much or has the raspy-ness. MY gintani had some serious drone and rasp, probably due to more aggressive mufflers.

mostly due to no resonators; I had something similar, added resonators and it eliminates most of the rasp

Well duh. I am saying though the cnt has a less raspy note than the gintani wit the same x-pipe.

so what's the thought compared to it. The CNT seems to sound real good, is it better than the Gintani. I'm sure less drone lol

Definitely less drone. The exhaust note is smoother than the Gintani as well. I like it overall just be prepared for some mediocre fitment if you get it.

Thanks, that would be very helpful, all too often folks run a rear section but no aftermarket xpipe in vids so I have no idea how it sounds without cats

Interesting as the Gintani does sound very smooth and not very throaty which I like. It's a very nice sound, but does drone .

No one ever got video of this exhaust? Still debating on replacing my OEM Exhaust mod with this. Key concerns are raspiness and drone compared to what I have currently. Here's my current setup up, how does it compare to the CNT sound?

Several months ago, I installed the CNT rear section on my car. After a couple weeks, I ended up selling the system on eBay for about half the price. The exhaust had a nice look and the quality of the steel and welds all seemed up to par. I also thought it sounded great on the outside. The problem was inside the cabin. It droned like crazy at cruising RPMs. This may be less problematic for those with manual transmissions, but it simply interfered too much with the radio and normal conversation with the DCT in auto mode. Maybe I didn't give it enough time to settle, but the drone would have needed to be reduced dramatically. I haven't tried any other systems on my M3, so I can't compare it to Gintani and others, but I've owned some fairly loud Mustangs in the past and don't consider myself overly sensitive to drone. This system was simply too overbearing inside the cabin, despite the nice sound coming out of the tailpipes.

I have this exhaust and 2k-2.3k drone is pretty bad so DCT drivers definitely would have problem driving it on auto mode. I thankfully have manual and stay above 2.5k which quiets down considerably and makes the sound much more mellow. I love this exhaust.
