Blower works but it's not directing air out the front vents.

Has anyone experienced an issue where no air comes from the front or windshield (defrost) vents? I can hear the blower running and pushing air, and the air is coming out of the rear passenger vents. However, nothing happens when I change the settings to direct air to the windshield, front, or bottom vents.

Upon examining the area near the blower, I noticed a cable that was not connected to anything. I didn't find any connectors where it could possibly fit.

Thanks

Vent flaps are closed, I’ve had this issue before. Double check the plugs behind the center vents. Make sure they’re seated properly prior to locking them down.

As for the random plug, I can’t recall exactly where that one goes. I want to say it plugs into the back of the radio, 12v adapter wire, or the glove box light. That being said it could be part of the problem but in my experience it’s the plugs behind the center vents.

Thank you Ajolives. I did a reset of the connectors, and everything works again. One thing to note for those in the US and/or who have LCI. I'm not sure which it is. On the back of the HVAC panel, there are three connector spots. In most YouTube videos, all three are used; however, in my case (at least I think), only two are used.

I spent a few hours taking things apart looking for an extra wire that I thought I was missing, LOL. Also, that connector shown in my first pic is not used for anything - at least for me.

While in there, sort of, might as well take out the blower/fan and lubricate the axel. Makes it silent and smooth. Old cars.
