in the end, Morey made a retarded decision to let Dragic walk, let Lowry walk, and then go grab a scrub from NY because he had a few good games under his belt...

but the point is, the Rockets DO NOT have a track record of getting rid of PG's that do amazing things with other teams......

the Rockets WILL NEVER get to the Finals unless they go after a high assist to turnover PG that DOESN'T turn the ball over as much as Lin/Harden....

the Rockets DO NOT value possessions as much as they should, and that will keep them from potentially getting into the second round of this year's playoffs - they CANNOT continue to turn the ball over so much....

that's why, they need an elite floor general.....
Yeah perhaps I overstated my point, I don't think guards have a habit of killing their careers in Houston, but the past 2 years have been somewhat eerie in that regard.

I still think Harden needs to learn how to play well with others on both sides of the ball. He's an elite scorer for sure but in the NBA it's been proven that defense wins championships.

His 3-point FG percentage dipped into the 30s this year but it was hard for him to get a rhythm with the diminished playing time and lack of game reps generally.

He's somewhat lost the ability to create his own shot/take it hard to the rim but if he can get his 3-point game dialed in (he once was consistently in the high 40s as far as percentage is concerned), he will be a valuable bench player.
He debuts tonight against New Orleans, I could see him getting solid minutes, we've had a hard time at SF so far.

that's why I was praying that Rondo would have landed in Houston.

hid defense and his tenacious defense if what this soft ass Houston team needs...

I think Lebron just locked up another MVP award. The Heat is looking like that championship caliber team once again. I wouldn't be surprised if the Heat surpass the Pacers to take the #1 seed soon.

We're on a 5-game winning streak and missing our starting PG.

I'm confident.

Last year the 27 game winning streak started on Feb 3. This year, the heats are fresh with a 8 game streak starting on Feb 11. Its gonna be interesting.

good job Rockets, even though they almost had one of their epic meltdowns with a minute left in the game......

they used a very balanced attack to put down the Heat.

Beverly was all over Chalmers and Battier/Bosh were non existent - if it wasn't for Beasley, it woulda been a blowout...

all Rockets starters in double figures....

Dwight and Terrance Jones were animals down low - they both combined for 41pts and 28 rebounds.....

no they weren't.....

only 3 Heat starters played 30/31 minutes yesterday due to the blowout of the Bobcats (James, Bosh and Chalmers)

hell, Wade didn't even play last night...

they weren't exhausted by any stretch of the imagination....

Warriors take out Indiana, Rockets cool off Heat, and Lob City takes out Phoenix. The West Top 4 is tight, separated by 4 games.

Cop out. They got outgunned by Houston. Thats how Houston wins games, by overwhelming firepower. If you have a bad offensive game vs Houston you better hope your perimeter defense bails you out.

So much for the Heat dream of a 20 game streak.

LeChoke.

The Heat just got out rebounded and out hustled not to mention no one in the starting lineup made any 3 pointers. A large portion of their offense relies on 3-pointers and they were shooting that poorly. I believe the Heat plays the Houston at home again next next week.
