People are always too quick to judge a design by the 2 dimensional vision they get on a screen, wait till you see if in the flesh and you see the light catch the curves and lines. This design will make a great looking car.
I work in design field but design is very subjective.

This concept is ugly to me but not the worse.
The 4 series concept was one of the best looking BMW concept.

Looks great inside and out. Hopefully the brand can rediscover some class and style. Desperately needed in 1, 2 and 3 series - God, they need help!

The front bumper line is not fluid. It has a choke point where the M-style bottom lob meets the new headlight design. It has the same defect has the F20 1 series with the large void gap between the giant (hypertrophied) grills and the rest of the bumper. This is not pretty. The rest is good looking, but not very adventurous. I like the natural wood trim, it looks rich.

I was putting off lurking into this thread. But after watching the first video, I just think it's nothing short of amazing of the design lines this car has.

I am NOT in field of design but the front end looks real ugly on this car.......

Just a layman thay finds the current 6 gran coupe looks way better than this. Yes, this car could very well have more people looking at it on the street. I myself can't stop looking at it trying to figure out how BMW can make such an ugly front......

Hi BMW,

If you really want to design a car with Pininfarina to please your MOST LOYAL customers, have them design your next small, M car.

The rich old guys and footballer wives are not very likely to become brand ambassadors.

While this is the closest thing to my beloved CS, looks too sleepy for me. It resembles the offspring of the CS and GINA concepts. This should fall in the (revamped) 8 series lineup. But it won't. Another concept swept aside.

Wow the polarizing comments in this thread is pretty staggering.

I'm sure it looks better in person, but not impressed from what I see. My first impression was it's just a jumble of BMW parts put together in a futuristic fashion. Kinda blah overall.

Only disappointment though is that its Pininfarina which gave me high expectations. Would love to see what Pininfarina would come up with on their own with no BMW input.

I've been thinking about this car a bit now and truly I hope this car is the prototype for an upcoming 8 Series Coupe. I think a 2016 BMW 860 V12 would look very nice in my garage.

This have the typical Bentley formula written all over it. Large size, extremely heavy, luxury, exclusivity, big engine, and this will only attract Bentley class customers,

For the first time outside of BMW. The Gran Lusso Concept car has been shown at the BMW Pavillion at Goodwood Festival of Speed.
