Still in your yard? Do your neighbors complain?

I so want to set up a box, but the "good" spots in my yard are along block walls that have a neighbors' (plural) back door on the opposite side. Not sure if I want them too close to the chicken coop either, I figure one or the other won't be there after a summer of encounters.
We have about 2 1/2 acres between each house, I still decided to pop on over to make sure it was OK to start just in case someone was allergic. Once I got up to nine hives, I noticed that both neighbors have extensive gardens and I get produce a plenty on a regular basis.

Blueberries just wrapped up here
Corn is still growing
Deer freak has a bunch of clover growing
And all the squirrels are in their yards LOL!

Kill them. Seal the holes like you did. Spray some wasp/bee killer on the outside and hopefully they'll get the hint.

Fuck - buy a Ferrari and park it next to the nest - it`ll soon catch fire and kill them all! That's a 1000 to 1 investment to which nobody can compete.

So the pest control showed up. Asked for payment before doing the job. I asked what he is planning to do for $250 and he said spray outside with spray

There is a saying, if you don't do it yourself, it will not be done. So I guess I will have to do some more work. Plan is to clean foam, spray inside (soak that insulation there), and then seal with liquid nails or some other hard shit

I am from the land of bugs but jesus H I find yellow jackets annoying, they are SO PERSISTANT if they find you eating outside. They are really passive though, not at all aggressive.

We have the big fuck off hornets in Australia, and I mean big, they sound like small helicopters when flying, put it this way, they were big enough that I could shoot them with a BB gun. If you swiped at one like we do at yellow jackets you'd be in hospital. Or as you guys say, The Hospital, like there's only one we all go to.

Here's the MOFO. I actually saw one of these battles once, the wasp eventually won then I shot them both with my bb gun.

Sounds like a great hobby. There's a small outfit in my town which has placed hives all over the city in abandoned lots.

One day perhaps I'll move into some land and do the same.

I got a little lucky my siding guy didn't replace the rotted boards on the house when he painted so today ended up taking them out and that's exactly where hive is. At least I got to spray directly in the hole and he will seal it completely with PVC. So hopefully that will take care of the issue for good. Definitely better then what pest control had to offer.....ridiculous that they send some teenager to spray my house without ladder for $250

A pro will vacuum the hive out completely and relocate them. Key is not killing the queen.

I generally recommend standing back about 10 feet and just throwing rocks on the nest until there isn't anything left. YMMV

A professional removed a ton of bee's from my bestfriends house in Nashville, tucked inside an exterior wall. They were able to keep like 10 large jars of honeycomb and honey from the incident though, pretty cool. Absolutely delicious honey too, they gave me a jar.
