So since there's a worst speeding ticket thread up I want to see what's the DUMBEST (read: police over-reacting) you've ever gotten and where.

Ex: I got ticketed by an MP coming down-hill at 4am. Only car on the road, no pedestrian traffic, got pulled over and cited for speeding and RECKLESS DRIVING....... I was going 30 in a 25.

I was getting pulled over for not signaling a lane change (didn't know until later). While getting pulled over I needed to move from the middle lane to the right lane and then off the road. When switching from the middle lane to the right lane I didn't use my signal so when the cop came to my door he handed me 2 tickets for not signaling a lane change.

Pulled over for 36 in a 35. Cop wrote me up for 36 in a 25. When I took a picture of the scene (I was pulled over in front of a 35 mph sign) and showed it to the judge, the cop responded with "Oh he really could've been going 45mph, I didn't get a chance to radar him". Judge reduced the fine by 25%, the "maximum allowed in the county".

I was on my racebike in a small town, only vehicle on the road. F the police.

I didn't really get a ticket, or even a warning for that, but this past weekend I got pulled over by a highway patrol on the road behind my house. I was driving my IS350 and he flashed his lights at me (assuming my high beams were on, but there weren't). I didn't do anything and kept driving but he does a 180 on a residential road and almost hits two cars that were following me in the process.

He was trying to pass them and catch me but he couldn't until the following road. The asshat asks me if I've been drinking and I say no and he asks for my license and registration. He then comes back saying that I didn't turn my high beams off when he flashed me and I told him my high beams weren't on and he didn't believe me.

He said he was gonna do me a favor and not even write me a written warning. WTF? Dumbass cop.

going the hospital at 3:00 am...45 in a 35...I explain that I am going to the hospital...he says "is it life or death"...I respond "it's life...I am an OB"...he writes me anyway...I miss the delivery...the judge tossed it...I don't stop anymore

i got a ticket for driving to slow in the freeway because i had a flat. my friend and i were the 2 lead cars after all of Socal joined at the final meet in the SFV. my car started to pull to the right so i turn on the emergencies and slowed down. i switch lanes one to the left just to tell my friend i have a flat and am going to exit. right there he pulls me over.

long story short, i tell him i have a flat. he asks to see it on my dash. i show him. tells me to pull up my window. takes my paper work. comes back with impeding traffic and tint.

i take his ass to court judge give it to me in my favor. asshole gets pissed grabs his shit and leave with a haste.

In high school 3 parking tickets in one - Parking too close to a stop sign, parking too far away from the curb and parked facing the wrong direction. The cop wrote various parking tickets on all of my friends cars as well.

All of this was in front of my friends parents which was in a col-de-sac. We actually measured the distance from the curb and I was more than inside the "legal" distance.

At the time my truck was in my dads name so he had to go to court. He told the judge what bullshit each of the tickets were and that it was a waste of everyones time, especially the judges. And also told the judge to look up my driving record (i was 18 at the time) as it was perfect. The judge dismissed all but one ticket and dropped the price of the fine.

We found out that his stupid neighbor called the cops on us because she was a bitch and hated seeing cars parked on the street and just didn't like anyone on the street. Some people really have nothing better to do.

My friend in his '97 Cobra and I (in my old 350z) decided to "race" from a dead stop to the 35 mph speed limit. We eased off the line, no tire spin, then punched it up to 35mph. We both got careless driving tickets.

The most ridiculous one I got was doing about 80 (maybe like 77,78,or 79) and got pulled over for it. Other people were doing the same speed but I got pulled over. Perhaps it was because I had a red car, who knows...

was driving on the 101 at 630am heading to the golf course set the cruise control at 67mph i always drive slow, at the time i had an all blkd out 335 coupe (rims,windows,etc..) and this all blk out jetta flies by me doing 100mph+. 5 min later out of no where CHP whips behind me pulls me over. Cop comes up says he clockd me speeding way over the limit. I told him wasn't me wrong guy. he says whatever you say sir. He writes me a tint ticket and as i go in my glove box to hand him my info he sees my front plate and writes me for that as well and tells me to slow it down, hahaha comedy.

pulled over for going 60 in a 65 (yes 5 under the limit) and for using my turn signal for too long. Then I got a non correctable violation for tint. I hope that asshole burns in hell.

My first job out of school was about 4 miles from my house, so I came home during lunch. So I drove that route 20 times a week.

One Sunday we had a deadline coming up so I had to go in. Well, there is a church on the way and apparently they put up stop signs on sundays in a spot that you normally just cruise through.

So, I was going about 40 in a 30 and just blew right by this stop sign.

This bitch of a cop tells me since the signs aren't usually there she is only writing me ONE ticket for speeding.

I get to the office and the bitch wrote me TWO, one for speeding and the other for the stop sign. She totally lied. I think she was just jealous of a 23 year old in a nice car who was much better looking than her.
