Some buying advice for a 4dr 1998 M3

I'm looking at a fairly clean m3. Only one problem, the fram is a couple mm out of spec. here is the picture from the shop that looked at it.

The car is priced very nice at $8500. here are some other pics of it.
Here's the link for more pictures of the car, including some of the interior:

I took a picture of that frame inspection report as well, it's attached to this email. With those measurements, the ones in red (that I circled) are the ones that are off of BMW spec. The threshold for that is 5mm (you can see the one measured at 5mm is in blue--still within BMW specs). Thus, the measurements of 9mm are only 4mm off of spec.

here is the information from the seller
"'98 M3 4-door, manual transmission, 110k miles. Engine is good, everything mechanically is sound. Has a fresh paint job, new rear brakes, new tie rod assemblies, new battery. The only work that needs to be done is interior/cosmetic, several small fixes here and there, may need a new driver seat. Salvage title. Need to sell ASAP. Asking price is firm. Please call or email me for more info. Thanks!"

thanks a lot guys, let me know if there is anything else you would like to know. I really appriciate it.

Looks and sounds good based on the info. I think you should go ahead with it and i agree that you should change the drivers seat.

Hmm...looks. Would have to test drive to seal the deal.

You can probably just get a company to just replace the leather (for much cheaper)...no need to get a whole new seat...unless you want to get a racing seat.
