m3post.com problems with Firefox version 7.0.1
I recently started having problems with this forum and Firefox version 7.0.1. Anyone else? I know I can use IE, Chrome, etc.. but Firefox is my browser of choice.
For example on the email alerts for new posts it send me a link like this: http://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...7&goto=newpost **This gives me a "Corrupted Content Error - The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because an error in the data transmission was detected." Secondly I get logged out of the forum randomly after a couple minutes or browsing the posts even if I click the remember me checkbox. Seems to just be a problem with the new Firefox. |

I've also had issues with Firefox since updating. Anytime I click the link in my email, I get an error.
I don't have any login issues though. |

Happens here also on 7.0.1, the "&goto=newpost" needs to be removed from the tag in order for the thread to appear.
however, this just defaults to the 1st page/post of the thread.

Only problem I've been having is that previewing a comment on a thread with YouTube ends up redirecting the browser to the YouTube home page. The only fix has been to not preview, just Post Quick Reply.

I don't think it's necessarily a browser bug, I think the browsers that are throwing the error are doing the right thing. Chrome actually tells you:
Error 350 (net::ERR_RESPONSE_HEADERS_MULTIPLE_LOCATION): Multiple Location headers received. This is disallowed to protect against HTTP response splitting attacks. If you view the response headers in a browser that loads the page, you can see why it's saying this. When you click that link, the first thing it does is a 302 redirect to m3post.com, since that's the actual domain you want. In order to do the redirect, it sets the Location header. Once it loads that same url on m3post.com, it performs a second 302 redirect. This second redirect is because of the "goto=newpost", it changes the url to the one that takes you directly to the newest post. But it has to set the Location header again to do this. So now the browser thinks the location was changed twice, and some of them don't like it. Further proof, if you go to m3post.com directly, it can do the redirect properly: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...7&goto=newpost

exactly, its because firefox does not allow more than one re-direct for security and anti- spam purposes
Its REALLY annoying. and e90 is the only place that seems to have the issue... either someone needs to come up with a hack, or plug in, to allow multiple redirects or they need to fix e90.

I think the best option is to fix the forum. Instead of sending the email with their parent site, bimmerpost.com, it should just be the domain of the actual site it's from. That would fix the problem.
