Haven't driven Chuckwalla CW in over two years, but finally went back over the weekend.
Tires were on their 3rd day and I struggled finding front grip all day. Best lap was my very first, but throughout the day I made changes and eventually went back to the morning setup and ran two more 1:54's. Not a very exciting lap. I found that keeping it in 4th gear for most of the lap was the fastest way around for me.

2008 E92 M3 6MT
Weight: 3150 + me (150)
Track/course: Chuckwalla CW
Best Lap Time: 1:54.12
Brakes: StopTech ST40R front/rear
Pads: SR34/SR33 front/rear
Tires: Bridgestone RE71RS 295/30/18 square (3rd day, 20HC's)
Suspension: MCS 3ways, SPL arms, BimmerWorld rear sphericals, solid subframe, stock sways
Engine: Macht Schnell intake, pulleys, x-pipe, akra rear, Epic Tune, CSF cooling package
Aero: BimmerWorld front lip & canards, BimmerWorld ultralight rear wing
Drivetrain: Drexler LSD with 4.10 gears

So close to my goal of running a 1:49 on 200TW tires, NA and still in GTA Street Class trim. This would have been the lap if that E36 wasn't there, but unfortunately I just missed out by .08 seconds. Still making changes to the setup and dialing out understeer. Ran SIX 1:50 laps on Friday, so hopefully by January, I'll get there.

Brake Pads: Ferodo 3.12
Tires (Size & Model): BFG R1S 285/30ZR18 square (yes, last leftover set dated 2019)
Suspension: MCS 1-ways
Other Mods: 2009 E92 M3 NA, Bimmerworld headers and race exhaust (corked up for LRP sound limit), Epic ECU & DCT tune, AutoSport Fabrication cage, Zebulon wing & splitter, Eibach adjustable front sway bar, OMP WRC seats, SPA fire suppression.

Finally broke 1 minute last year with a 59.8 on new Hoosier R7s before adding the wing and splitter over the winter. I’m amazed at the difference the aero makes. It was hard work on the hairy edge for me to hit 59.8 without the aero. Now the car is stuck to the track and there’s still more to be had.

I sold my last E92 track car a few years ago and was tracking a 2005 Lotus Elise up until I blew the motor last year. I wanted another track car that ran similar times to my friend's S54 E36, so I found the cheapest E92 M3 I could in the country. The car seemed okay, but the tires are absolute garbage and would highly recommend against them. I really struggled with car temps at Road Atlanta this past weekend as it was in the 90's and I was overheating the car. I ordered the Do88 oil cooler and DCT cooler to hopefully remedy that. All things aside, I put down a 2:11 at ViR and a 1:42 at my first visit to Road Atlanta ever.

The DO88 oil cooler will basically eliminate your overheating issues. I ran both of these tracks in July last year with ambient temps hovering around 100 degrees without any issues at all.

I'm heading to ViR next week with Chin and it's supposed to be 94* so I guess we will see how effective it is! Just found out my driveshaft U-joint is toast after looking it over this weekend so I'm working on sourcing a replacement for that too . I love cars.

The DO88 parts are really nice though -

Well, the Do88 Coolers worked AMAZING and the Rt660 Tires performed really well even in 90+ degree weather. The car didn't overheat at all and the transmission didn't hesitate like it normally does as it warms up. I was able to put down a handful of 2:07's and had a few 2:06 flyers before hitting traffic. I got my optimal down to a 2:06.1 but with the heat and traffic, I just couldn't get it. Ill try again when it cools down a bit

I finally hit the 2:06's in the E92 at ViR. Nothing changed since the last two weekends, just more speed. It should / would have been a 2:05 without the GT4 blocking me. I lifted at rollercoaster before Hogpen to try and give myself more acceleration room, but he stayed outside and slowed down, so even when I got the point by I couldn't really accelerate as the car was pushing me outside and I didn't want to hit him. Nothing worse than looking over at the Catalyst and watching the Delta change like crazy on the straight. On the bright side, I'm sitting at a high 2:04 optimal and I'm 100% positive that I could hit that on street tires.

This may be my last run in it though as I purchased a 991 GT3 and will probably be moving to it full-time and chasing sub 2's.

Another run but this time on Nankangs. Love these tires but on this day it was 90F and sunny so the track got up to 130F and they were GREASY. Should've dialed back and saved the tires tbh but I was having too much fun chasing a 1:43 time.

Still think I have a lot more pace on the table with this setup.

I know it's not an M3, but it's mechanically an M3. Without traffic AIM says it was a 2:08.8. With more driver talent I think 2:07 will be possible.

I have a couple of new PB's to post, i started running NASA TT3 in early 2022.

I'm not a huge fan of the 1st lap flier, as usually the nut behind the wheel isn't fully tightened on lap 2, but it is what it is! I typically throw down my fastest laps on lap 6-7 of a session, however in TT i seemingly find traffic by lap 3.

Track/Course: Roebling Road
Best Lap Time: 1:14.47
Brake Pads: Ferodo DS3.12
Tires (Size & Model): 275/35/18 hoosier
Suspension: MCS 2 way
Other Mods: BW Aero, #3450-3470 lbs w driver and ballast, 328HP Detune to fit into classing and tire category.

This was a special lap as I broke the TT3 record by .45 seconds, however the camaro in front of me broke it harder at a 1:13.98. This was my first time back at Roebling in about 9 years, so I was overall happy with the laps turned. I got a little too close to the camaro coming out of turn 2 and never shifted to 3rd which cost me at least 2/10ths getting back on throttle. Stupid mistake!

Looking back through my data with my coach, I had a 13.88 going into turn the turn 6 braking zone in which i for some reason broke way too early and screwed the lap. It cost me .6 seconds of lap time in that single braking zone. I see a couple areas for improvement in which could yield less time as well. I think the car (and driver) has a high 12 in it, maybe less on a slick.

In with some slowboi times so I can come back and reference as I start tracking the car more:

Vehicle: '11 E92 Comp 6MT
Brake Pads: Endless ME20 (stock caliper/rotor)
Tires (Size & Model): Michelin Cup 2 255/35r19 F 275/35r19 R
Suspension: KW Clubsport 2-Way
Other Mods: Stainless brake lines, Motul 600 fluid

Track/Course: Willow Springs (Big Willow)
Best Lap Time: 1:34.4

Track/Course: Buttonwillow 13CW (my first real day at BW)
Best Lap Time: 2:06.6

Car felt like it could become unsettled easily at a couple of corners at BW. Thinking I need to a) be smoother with my steering input in a few areas, and b) I want to play with my suspension settings, as I haven't made any adjustment since install.
