But, aside that, yeah it sux not being able to string to gather even 2 full consecutive laps due to the temp skyrocketing. Happened to me in early May at Chuckwalla in 100+F heat, so took the summer off since then for that reason...
I use to do that too. My West Coast Summer was a 3 month hiatus like the East Coast Winter months. ....and then, I got the super secret EMW s54 cooling setup on my race car. My temps were solid all day long, I couldn't believe it. I thought my Carbon Airbox was gonna melt. It was Arizona hot. But it was a true test for my cooling system and it passed w flying colors. Really happy with it.... and now ima track Chuckwalla in August (j/k)

my dad was big into this too, he took his "arcadia" to a track in korea and beat out stock car racing scoupes in the slalom competition. and then he gave all the prizes to the "racing drivers"

came out in an issue or korea's Motor magazine.

Great driving Slowsaloon, footwork is also very clean and tidy. I've only been to a few BW track days but I'm also curious how it feels with the new pavement. Videos just don't do justice for me.

Have you been to Chuckwalla or Streets before?

i've been to streets but not with this car. i wo'nt go to streets again because of its tight nature and excessive wear (and horrible conditions) but i want to try big willow. chuckwalla is just way too far for me and i would do it if i can coordinate a palms springs trip with friends on the same weekend.

Chuckwalla is only 47mi further than BRP from Central LA which is nothing in the grand scheme of things. As much as I love staying at the Buttonwillow Motel 6 CVR is well worth it. If I had to choose between the two all things being equal CVR would win every time. It also seems to have less bozo's and nimrods as well when I went with BMWCCA & PCASD.

Do a 2 day event at CVR and stay in Palms Springs so the drive doesn't seem so bad.

There's a newer Holiday Inn Express that they opened right off the 10 at the edge of Indio (probably the closest hotel to CVR other than Fantasy Springs Resort/Casino).
