Carb Legal Intake? B58
Wondering if there were any carb legal intakes for B58 at the moment?
Quick search didn't show any. Only asking because cop made me pop the hood because I had an exhaust on the car , but let me off with a warning lmao. Looking for Woosh noises without possible tickets. |

Unfortunately, I do not; I recommend checking with the manufacturers directly.

I had a CARB compliant intake on my G35 and still failed smog, failed the visial inspection. He pulled up the # saw the certificate, but still failed me… California sucks when it comes to smog.

I received a reply from Dinan. It sounds like that the CARB approval process hit a dead end for their intakes.

for woosh noises, with stock airbox, consider FTP turbo inlet and their drop-in dry panel air filter(or AFE drop-in). the inlet pipe is below the airbox so it is not easily visible and being powdercoated black, has an appears of a stock part.
the inlet enhances performance more than an intake anyhow, because the inlet diameter is where the airflow "bottleneck" to the turbo is. since the FTP logo plate may be too conspicuous, ECS has their own inlet pipe(made by FTP?) sans logo. i suggest obtaining black t-bolt clamps. for more of a stealth/OEM appearance. .
