Programming VTG Module

I had a failed transfer case which was replaced and I need to program the replacement module (VTG). Is it possible to do this with E-Sys? The VTG module does not show up in the tree from what I can find.

When I try to program the VTG using ISTA-P the program wants to replace all of the control modules for some reason, and it won't let me deselect all of them. I have a tune applied so I don't want to flash the whole car back to stock, only the VTG module.

Can anyone advise me what the best way to go about this is? Thanks!

Well, for anyone else that goes down this road it would appear that there is no way to program a new transfer case module using E-sys. I installed the old module and reset the adaptations and it seems to be working fine.

It would appear that the module could be updated using ISTA+, but an ICOM cable would be required since you can't program with a ENet cable

I have a 2014 335i xdrive. I had to replace my transfer case, when I did I failed to keep my old longitudinal torque module. My car runs great with the new case, but its throwing a Chassis Stabilization code. Everything pointed to needing a new longitudinal torque module (VTG module). I bought a new one and installed it, I am still getting the code. If I buy ISTA+ and an ICOM cable, can I program the VTG myself? I do not have any tunes installed or anything installed that I am worried about resetting or losing. The dealership wants $320 to attempt programming the VTG. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hey did you figure out your transfer case coding?
I'm facing same problem, I got used Transfer case with module and it's showing chassis Stability light.
Any suggestion?

You dont transfer the coding. You code it according to the vehicle its fitted on. Did you code and reset adaption?

No, I never code any module before.
I recently got used transfer case with module and the plan was to put used transfer case with car's original transfer case module but I'm not sure if my mechanic swapped it or not.
I'm getting DCS light on, chassis stability light is on, and few other lights related to transfer case.
What should I do?
BMW is asking me to pay $320 and they can attempt to code but I'm not sure if that will work because I still have to pay if that doesn't work?
Any suggestions?

The module maybe have been faulty or the transfer case might have been faulty. Usually the transfer case is replaced as a whole. If you have ENET cable i can code it for you remotely and calibrate it.
