Tyre recommendations

J'ai besoin de remplacer les pneus arrière sous peu et je voulais obtenir des recommandations / opinions sur ce que vous avez sur les roues du pack de compétition 19".
J'allais juste obtenir OEM Michelin 265/35/19 mais on m'a dit qu'ils étaient en rupture de stock localement depuis quelques mois.
Quelles tailles et marques utilisez-vous ?

Hey mate, I recently purchase Michelin Pilot Super Sport for my factory 19" competition pack wheels. Get a set from tyresales.com.au for under 2k. Ended up saving over 1k after taking it back with my to Auckland New Zealand (where I live). They are one of the best tyres you can get for the M3. got the stock 245 front and 265 back.

Great info. Didn't know about this. They look cheap too.

I dealt with Brendan at tyresales and they service and price was great - definitely recommend them! Price includes fitting locally too...

Could always upsize the PSS to 275/35/19 for the rear.

You could try these Bridgestones as they are reviewed very well (same performance category as the Michellin PSS) and way cheaper here:

I'm running nitto invo and find them to be really good and great value. I have 305 on rear and suspect they would even be decent as a street class track tyre

Thanks for the info guys, I think I'll stick with the Michelin PSS 265 or 275.
Stuart do you have any pics of the Michelin 275/35/19 fitted on comp pack wheels?

of 275/35/19, think I prefer the look of the 265 as the sidewall is a little narrower. Wish the Michelin PSS came in 285/30 like the GTS sizing.

Conti 5P Sports 285/30/19 will cost you around $640 a tyre but damn are they good tyres mate.

Those Conti 5Ps are awsome.

Michelin PSS provide awesome grip levels etc. That said, anyone running something like the Yokohama AE50 in our standard sizes (245/35/19, 265/30/19) ?

Pretty subjective topic.

On my 220M road wheels, I've tried Pirelli P-Zero, Michelin PSS, and Kumho PS91. I've only had them on a month, but I rate the PS91 over the others as grip is as good (if not better) than the PSS, was cheaper, tread pattern looks almost identical, tread depth is greater, noise is lower. Wouldn't recommend Pirellis to anyone.

If my current track-set tyres were available in the right sizes for the 220M's, I'd go for those (Kumho KU36). They're great as a dual purpose road and track tyre with amazingly low wear. Excellent grip (once warm), but must manage the right foot in the wet.

At moment Yokohama is running a special. Buy 3 get 4th tyre free.

I got a quote for 235 and 265 , 19"- AD08R for $1290 at Bob Jane. That's a very very good price and awesome tyre

I got Michelin pilot sport cup 2s (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....ot+Sport+Cup+2) in 255 35 19 front and 275 35 19 rear on competition pack wheels.

Never ran the AE50 so can't comment.

Have the Michelin PSS myself, they are a good road tyre but bloody expensive. Has Michelin SCups before, great grip but they didn't last a year. Depends what you value, durability or adhesion.

Hey mate might be a stupid question but are you running the 305 on the OEM rims?
I'm in need of new tyres and struggling to find info on what the widest fit tyre I can get on my OEM rims..

Any help would be much appreciated

I recently purchased a set of Nitto Invo's (255/30/R20 fronts and 305/25/R20 rears) and they came out to be the cheapest by far. Even cheaper than tyresales.com.au on all other brands. Great service too - very prompt

No, I think 265-275 would be about as wide as practical on OEM
