Qu'est-ce que vous en pensez ? Tu l'as mis sur ta voiture ?

Too expensive for black. Maybe other leathers.

yes I got it and did it w/ Fox Red and I love it, others hate it but its not their car its mine...
Haven´t seen extended leather, but IMO is probably looks better. To me, that nice Napa leather is great!
^ It's Novillo ;)

Best regards, south

They used Napa leather in the E46 M3 (and also Z4 M). In the E9x M3 they use Novillo leather. I'm not sure what the real difference is, but everyone says the Novillo is nicer.
I've got black extended ... but everytime I look down at the center console and see the leather stitching, it reminds me that this car is something a bit more special than a "normal" 3-series. Also the black lower half of the dash looks great with leather. No nasty grainy plastic .... even though the plastic's used in the M3 are pretty good !!
For black I wouldn't do it...but in the Bamboo Beige it looks MUCH better....the extra tan along the center console and lower dash is more balanced in my opinion....its easy to see the difference from the drivers angle in the "build your own" feature of the website...
didn't get it
In case anyone is wondering, the center console in the M3 without extended leather has some kind of leather/simulated leather in black covering it and I really am happy with it, it simply is not plastic in look or feel.
I have it in black and I love it. Adds a little more detail to the car.

Are you talking the top of the center console?
The top of the center console is covered in black leather on all cars, regardless of ext leather being optioned.
I have it on black....and couldn't be happier. You may not be able to out right notice the difference in texture from a pic; but when you're sitting in the car...it finishes it off perfectly and it very noticeable.

The section by the iDrive/Shifter is the leather, which is where your arm/hand spends most of the time.

To clarify -- all M3s. In the other 3-series it's wood or aluminum.

Captain Obvious, I think the fact we were talking about M3s was very apparent.

I have a MB with Napa and it feels, smells and looks identical to Novillo. Also, one guy building a steering wheel that works with leather told me its the same thing, although several people here believe it is somehow different (and they may be right). I just can't tell the difference.

I thought I wanted it, and was intending to order it. But I literally bought my car by being at the right place at the right time when the original buyer backed out -- and I was just standing there looking. The car I bought didn't have "Extended Leather." But after looking into it later, and seeing what it is...I actually decided that I didn't like the way it looked and was glad I bought the car without it.

Does anyone have pics of extended leather?

They're all over this board...

The e46 M3 leather was Nappa (same as Napa? who knows) and the Novillo leather is markedly better in feel.

If by extended leather you mean all that plastic in another color, then I have seen many and don't like it. Its not really "extended leather".
