///Mobbin wroteI see great progress. Soon you will be dialing the car in. Best of luck.Thought I should share some progress here, thanks again toOG Shark for a great deal on these, owe you buddy! Thanks also to
tlrid3r for the insight and install tips! Great community we have.
Those ARP bolts match this piece well!
///Mobbin wroteWow looking well done, nicely paired up with that TTX kit. This seems like a rare enough product that I feel the need to share some more, finished my work yesterday with one side mostly complete.
///Mobbin wroteHow do you like the Ohlins TTX from Barry@3DM?Also looking to go for a max-attack wheel/tire setup here and just grabbed some Bimmerworld TA5r's on the 20% off + free shipping sale, amazing deal there. Went with 10.5x18" et24 square and plan to run Pirelli DH 305-645/18 on them. Took a few photos comparing Strom upright spacing to OE (3 photos of OE), each setup with 10mm spacers in place.
reidetailing wroteThe TTX-TS setup is truly amazing on the street when on the street settings, it's almost like the high spring rates are masked to a degree, 784F/560R, coilover rear, and completely silent. For now I have the front paired with Ground Control street camber plates but plan to switch to 3DM camber plates when available. This setup is much more compliant than the MCS 2WNR 600/900 setup I had on my prior e92 m3. I've recently dialed everything to the track settings and am impressed with that setup as well, though no track time yet so holding my review until I have the full experience. Likely hitting the track weekend after this one and plan to post a thread on the suspension after that. How do you like the Ohlins TTX from Barry@3DM?
I ordered mine, and am waiting for his prototype camber plates this winter.
I went with 46/36 ILX, with the optional BOV upgrades on F/R, with the Swift Springs.
Jeef wroteThere is and you can see it in the photos above. I think it was mentioned that there is 5mm more clearance but it looks like slightly less than that from the photos, wish I had taken the measurement to know the exacts, sorry! Both sides installed now.Is there noticably more clearance with the new part?

DRLane wroteIt's not fun to adjust the dampers as I have to lie on the ground to do it and I think I had to jack up one side in the front to reach and see everything. Doesn't take much time though. Current plan is to adjust to track settings at home and drive like that to the track to save time once I am trackside, comfort on those settings isn't so bad. For the most part I am just adjusting low-speed comp and rebound for street vs track (for now) and that does make it easier. More on this later but they are 5-way dampers front and rear with adjustable BOV-knobs in addition to the standard 4-way adjustments. How is it adjusting the damper setting without top / reservoir access?
Are the 3DM camber plates unique? Maybe a clevice mount top?

For the 3DM plates, I don't have details yet except that I expect them to be more track focused than the Ground Control streets. Mine will not be clevis mount since my dampers are not built that way but I believe that will be an option as well.
///Mobbin wroteAwesome to hear and a rewards from the fruits of your labor. My first track weekend went extremely well! Set a new PR going CCW at my local track and this was on 15+ heat cycle RT660's and after a 10 month hiatus from any track time. The car has some serious potential now that I am just starting to tap into. In terms of the Strom uprights, the car feels very different on track with them, more front grip for sure, but I changed a heck of a lot since I was last out as well, still I would attribute most of the front end change to the uprights. The steering-to-ground-feel has improved also but that may be a combination of all mods. The bump steer correction is for sure felt, street and track, and that alone plus the extra inner wheel/tire clearance is huge. Tire wear looks pretty even as well but I'll have to save my full assessment on that until I move to a new set of tires with just the new uprights. I currently have camber set to -3.5, slight toe in up front (I like the feel) and -2.3, toe in rear. Probably won't change anything there.
Overall, I really like the way the car feels with the uprights and do believe front end grip has improved. Don't see any negatives besides the price for entry, with one caveat--I would only consider these uprights for a lowered and track-focused car.
Will continue to report back with more thoughts, 1-2 more track days this month, new treaded tires at some point to replace RT660, COTA in February and plan to run DH scrubs then.
///Mobbin wroteAwesome setup, really hoping I can find a set of these used on the forums. I also had to grind away that sheet metal after some caster adjustments.Sheet metal early on the grinding and where I took a break at. Probably totally fine for 285’s at this point. May work on some more later if I remove the helper springs and try 305’s again.
