Advice on a couple of interior nicks/scratches

Mon e93 2011 a quelques signes de son âge maintenant, avec un entaille dans la poignée intérieure de la porte du conducteur et quelques petites rayures dans la finition mate de la console centrale. Photos attachées de chacun. Des conseils sur la façon de réparer ou au moins diminuer l'évidence de l'un ou l'autre? Merci pour votre aide!

Regarding your first picture, that part is pretty cheap to replace, and if you buy it from FCP, if you accidentally scratch it again, you can get a free replacement.

The second picture, I believe that is all one piece and pricey. Not sure what you can do repair wise.

Thanks, didn't realize it was so cheap. I tried to find a YouTube of how to remove it, but couldn't find one. What is that part called? "Center trim" seems to show the piece between the seats.

Skip to 2:46 for the removal. Tbh I'm not sure if you need to remove all previous items but just be careful if you decide not to.

I just searched for e92 headunit cover and it came up. That link didn't work?

I just replaced the part in your first picture. As stated, cheap and relatively easy. Buy a dedicated trim tool.

The door pull is a PIA. I've done the full armrest replacement on my 2008 and it turned out well.

Now I have a 2011 with the same issue, but this time I plan on replacing just the door pull vice the whole armrest. The door pull was on Amazon and looks really nice.

In either situation, you'll have to remove the entire armrest from the door panel, which entails destroying the plastic "rivets" and mounting the new door pull.

Just FYI: New armrest 51418035887 is about $550. Door pull was about $30 on Amazon.

You'll still need to wreck the existing rivets and re-mount using 51419142455 (self-tapping nut) and 51419142456 (spring nut).

The new mounting system is just as robust a connection as the original plastic rivets, which was impressive.

I'll let you know how the door pull replacement goes.

FYI, RealOEM.com is a fantastic source for OEM diagrams and part numbers.

This video shows how to drill out the rivets and pull out the door pulls.

Since this will be replaced with the aftermarket part, you can skip the restoration steps the video goes into. Just use the video for the removal and installation steps.

Curious. I assume you would have to sand all the soft touch off to have an even coat?
