First-time M3 owner

Comme le titre l'indique, j'ai acheté une M3 e93 de 2013 (récente pour moi) la semaine dernière. Un seul propriétaire, 51 500 kilomètres au compteur et elle a toujours dormi au garage. Je vais sûrement me faire tancer par ceux qui ne considèrent pas ces modèles comme de vraies M. J'ai lu quelqu'un l'appeler un « solarium sur roues », ce qui m'a bien fait marrer. Après, mon daily c'est un F150, donc cette caisse est largement assez rapide et agile pour moi. En plus, mes gamins adorent monter dedans avec le toit ouvert.

Pour autant que je sache, la seule modif faite par l'ancien proprio, c'est l'échappement M Performance. Ce V8 chante vraiment quand on le laisse s'exprimer. Je compte faire une reprog. Je suis preneur de toute autre recommandation.

J'ai pas mal traîné sur le forum cette dernière semaine et c'est génial de voir qu'il y a encore une communauté aussi active pour cette génération. Merci à tous ceux qui font vivre cette page.

Noiceee la fait très fort et laisse tomber le haut.

J'ai adoré mon ancien E93 M3... maintenant dans un E92 je souhaite que ce soit un E93. Enjoy !!

Personne n'a dit qu'un vert n'est pas une vraie voiture M.
Je pense que l'OP aurait dû dire: «un vert a quelques centaines de livres dans le coffre que la berline ou coupé n'a pas. Le vert n'est pas aussi rapide.
BMW a mis le badge M là-bas.

Bienvenue ! J'ai eu 2 M3 Verts (et 4 autres non-M Verts), un E36 et un E46, et ce sont certainement des voitures M. Ils sont simplement différents, plus lents, plus lourds et un peu plus pesants. Si vous y allez en sachant cela et en étant d'accord avec ça, ils sont une explosion à conduire et l'un des meilleurs cruisers amusant-dans-le-soleil. Malheureusement, beaucoup les attrapent parce qu'ils sont moins chers et ensuite déçus de leur manque de performance sérieuse. Ainsi, une partie de la mauvaise parole qu'ils obtiennent sur les forums. N'écoutez pas cette merde, profitez juste du son et du vent dans vos cheveux!

We all likely remember the first time we drove a natually aspirated M3, I know I do and I get that same feeling after over six years. Congratulations on the purchase and welcome.

Transformer style hard top, fun in the sun, lots to love. I was competitive several years ago in autocross with my e46 m3 ‘vert. All I heard was the same nonsense. I laughed while I enjoyed the car for the 90% of the time where having a vert didn’t matter.

Are the non verts better at the limit? Probably, but I’d guess that many with vert “hate” don’t even get to 6/7 10ths with their m3.

Some excellent points here. As an e90 owner the amount of times, per year, that I drive my car 6/7 10ths is few and far between. I am not proud of it, rather it is the truth.

I would be lying if I said the e93 concept DIDN'T intrigue me once in a while. Even with the e90 (with some exhaust work), with all of the windows down and sunroof open it a completely changes experience compared to fully isolated windows/roof closed. With that said it could just be by coincidence as I tend to drive spiritedly when the weather is nice whereas in winter (windows closed) I tend to loaf around more and use the car more as an A to B appliance.

Anywho, I would think a modified e93 would be an absolutely blast on a nice summer day through some beautiful roads. Something for me to consider as I plan to add a DD and move my e90 to pure weekend status...

Truth. Not a lot of tunnels where I live but there’s an overpass on my way home that I drop the windows, mute the stereo, and let er rip. Would love that in an e93!

LOL, yeah, not many tunnels here at all, but Martin Rd is close or the Bridge Street lower deck parking garage.
