J'ai essayé d'en obtenir un tout neuf en mars, mais ils sont en rupture de stock partout et les ETAs continuent à être repoussés (maintenant fin juin). L'e-boutique de Rack Doctor semble être en panne et des critiques récentes suggèrent qu'ils sont descendus.
Quelqu'un a des pistes ?

Mon mécanicien a pu s’en procurer un auprès de BMW. Apparemment, il n'y en a qu'un dans le pays. J'ai également trouvé un endroit à Long Island, NY Baires Driveline qui peut le reconstruire pour 400 $. Je pense que je pourrais essayer de reconstruire et d'annuler la commande BMW si je peux. L'endroit a de bonnes critiques et cela pourrait valoir le coup. Quelqu'un a-t-il de l'expérience avec une reconstruction autre que rackdoctor? FCP Euro vendait des racks remanufacturés, et si le concessionnaire demande le noyau, je suis sûr que ces racks sont remanufacturés. Où êtes-vous situé "IamFODI" ?

Un voyage lointain, mais un ami en a fait reconstruire un par Woodward Motorsports à Mendon MA.
Summit’s new ETA is the week of July 15. Ugh.
ETA pushed back to Jul 21 @ Summit. Situation at other vendors doesn't seem to have changed, as far as I've seen. Starting to think Bosch is treating this as a "we'll build it when we build it" situation.

Summit says they'll ship my order out tomorrow. They've said that many times by now, though, so we'll see. Brand new Bosch rack ordered back in March for <$1100. I'll let y'all know if they come through.

Love the price.
Don't love that the product page shows the wrong number of turns lock-to-lock (3.25 instead of 2.4) – though their product page for the Bosch one also gets it wrong, though not as badly (2.0).
This is 1/4 the cost of other remans, or less. I can't imagine how they could do this without cutting corners. But IDK.
Just received my new Bosch from Summit Racing. Will post pics if/when I have them.

Amateur hour in the packing department, apparently.
Couldn't get a pic of the inside of the box but the rack was just floating in there with nothing but packing paper around it (and not even enough of that). No foam or plastic to hold it in place. Horrible.
If I hadn't been on a deadline, and if the supply of these things didn't seem so short, I 100% would have complained and made them ship me a new one.
Fortunately the rack seems fine. It's currently in the car and seems to be working as it should.

If it makes you feel any better I ordered one from Autozone last Thursday and it arrived the next day on Friday (free shipping too) September 1. Mine was drop shipped from Bosch I think. Anyways, it had an inner tie rod poking through the outside of the box. I took pictures in case it becomes problematic. Only light packing paper on the inside of my box as well which is crazy. I did move the tie rod around that was exposed and it's joint at the rack feels very firm so hopefully all is ok.

I physically turned the pinion and found it to actually be around 2.25 turns lock to lock.
Around 1.1x turn each way.

Incase anyone's local to NY, I tried the Baires Driveline shop mentioned in this comment below. They took my leaking rack and did a full rebuild, coated it black and also redid my tierods & bushings. It was $400 as described below, car has been driving good since. Definitely worth checking them out, less than 48h turnaround.

N'UTILISEZ PAS RACK DOCTOR. J'ai perdu environ 1300 $ à cause de ne pas faire mes recherches. Reman bosch sur fcp est la voie à suivre.
For3 a écritSi ça peut te rassurer, j'en ai commandé un chez Autozone jeudi dernier et je l'ai reçu dès le lendemain, le vendredi 1er septembre (avec livraison gratuite en plus). Je crois que c'était un envoi direct de chez Bosch. Bref, j'avais une biellette de direction qui transperçait le carton. J'ai pris des photos au cas où ça poserait problème. En plus, il n'y avait que du papier d'emballage léger à l'intérieur, c'est n'importe quoi. J'ai bougé la biellette qui dépassait et l'articulation au niveau de la crémaillère a l'air bien ferme, donc j'espère que tout est OK.
Je monte le mien demain. C'est mon premier DIY sur une crémaillère de direction. Je table sur 3-4 heures. Ça s'est passé comment pour vous ? Des conseils pour un débutant ?
Ça fait un bail, je sais, mais ça a donné quoi au final ? La crémaillère d'AutoZone tenait la route ?
J'aurais peut-être besoin de savoir bientôt aussi
