Ive got a buddy here in dallas thats selling his toyota corolla...has 63k miles and is an auto. PM me if interested.

Anyone in Dallas have an extra set of e46m wheels laying around? I sold my current wheels and my new set wont be here for another two or so weeks. I dont drive my car during the week (I walk to work) and put maybe 10 miles on it on the weekends. I just need something on the car so its not on jackstands for 2/3 weeks lol

Does either one meet the JWL, VIA, or TUV certification standards? If not, which company has the best rep with customers? Here's some information on how wheels are made and the applicable standards that can help you make an informed decision about what to buy:

There's another thread here that may be worth looking at. The OP asked which is the better wheel, ADV1 or DPE. The thread develops into a pretty good argument (one guy ended up banned and his posts edited). The suppliers involved were very positive about DPE wheels. Customers were less positive regarding DPE, but no one actually trashed them, which was not the case with ADV1. There is concern about the current ADV1 staff being tied to the previous incarnation of 360 Forged. Short story is DPE may not be a bad choice. http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=388962

Ya both meet those standards and if I get the DPEs I would get them from a member on m3f so I wont have to deal with vendors.

If it's fairly clean, and not real old, you might want to get a CarMax quote. You likely won't like their number, but they should be able to tell you what is on there.

+1, but it is a good point to start negotiations if you decide to trade it in also.

Carmax offered me $2,500 more for my 1997 328is when I bought my 2002 M3 than the BMW dealer (I sold it to Carmax). Then when I was trading the 2002 M3 last fall, Carmax offered less than the BMW dealer, but the BMW dealer raised it's offer on the 2002 M3 by $1,000 when I talked about taking it to Carmax. Needless to say I traded that car to the BMW dealer.

Well if the tax credit when buying/trading the car equals carmax that would be a good negotiation too. That is what I did with my g35 when I went to purchase my car. After the tax-credit for trading the vehicle into them it matched the carmax offer.

The sales tax advantage of trading the car in has to be included in the price you get for your old vehicle from a 3rd party (rather than trading it in).
