Frozen Grey M3

Un heads-up :

BMW Amérique du Nord m'a dit que 5 modèles Frozen Grey ont été attribués pour le Canada en 2010 (pour MY2011). Ils sont prévus pour mai Production / Juin Livraison. Retrouvez cette info aujourd'hui.

Quand je me suis renseigné sur Frozen Grey il y a quelques semaines, on m'a dit que le prix de la peinture serait d'environ 5 000 $ et que la production ne serait pas allouée avant août. Ils sont passés à autre chose.

J'ai choisi de ne pas participer car je suis un enfoiré impatient, donc il y en a encore 5 disponibles...

Merci pour l'info. Je voulais vraiment cette couleur, mais j'ai changé la mienne en gris sidéral. Après avoir vu beaucoup plus de photos, je pense que le look mat / primaire vieillira rapidement. Toujours une couleur fantastique, je la reconsidérerais encore une fois, ce n'était pas 5 000 $ de plus. C'est un joli ensemble de Brembos juste là!

Very interesting. I have ordered my M3 for European Delivery on 1 July. Apparently dealer has the allocation, delivery date is confirmed but is unable to build in their system yet?

Currently Interlagos Blue with Bamboo Beige interior. Asked about Frozen Grey but was told it was not an option. Am reconsidering but difficult decision without being able to see one. I am in Halifax and there have yet to see a matte finish car, so it would be somewhat unique. $5k though?

For those who have ordered Canadian MY 11's, have you gotten pricing yet? Also considering the Competition pack but waiting to see the exact price/contents for us. $2500 with EDC for US, will probably mean $6000 in Canada without EDC...

Forgot to mention that the dealer also told me that the 7MA Competiton Pack would be considered a "special order" with an additional $400 charge.

Here is what they say is in it:

"Package for drive dynamics optimisation:"

- Exclusive 19" M light alloy wheels - Y spoke 359M;
- Front: 9J x 19: 245/35 R19
- Rear: 10J x 19: 265/35 R19
- Lowered Suspension (approc 10mm).
- No EDC mentioned...

I feel kind of stuck having to get all my info through my SA. I noticed that some of you deal with BMW NA directly and some have contacts in Germany. How did you swing that?

I am learning a hell of a lot more through this forum than I am from the dealer... Thank God this is here, at least...

I just got back from UK and saw a Frozen Grey in a dealership, looked very nice. Also saw a Matte Black. Didn't like it at all.

I also saw matte Black Rolls Royce Phantom, Maserati Granturismo Range Rover and Lambo Gallardo. IMO it only looked good on the Range Rover and the Lambo crap on the rest.

Hope this helps....the wholesale pricing on our Comp. Pkg is around $5300.00 but it includes EDC which I took to mean that EDC is mandatory for us. I paid the $400 special order price but it covers all of the Individual items I specified.

As for contacting M Division directly, I guess I didn't know any better and sent the boss there an e-mail a year ago outlining my thoughts for the individualization I was hoping for. Received a reply the very next day from the person responsible for overseeing North and South American M cars and maintained the relationship ever since. BMW Canada was copied on all of the correspondence in order to stay in the loop but allowed me to continue my dialogue with Germany directly. M Division and Individual provided me with 5 or 6 digitized design proposals over the past year before I finally settled on "the right one" and ordered it last week. Honestly, I don't think a dealership would have put up with me and all of the changes I kept making. No matter....it was fun!!

To the best of my knowlege CDN pricing has not been released.I ordered a E93 335is for my wife and I do not expect to see pricing till Early April at the earliest.

Holy crap $5300? I wonder why the in US is only $2500 USD... and that does include EDC as well.

To my knowledge, the US price DOES NOT include EDC.

Yeah beat it! Haha - we actually tend have a very international flavour as we tend to get posts from everywhere

love the Frozen Grey, look forward to seeing one on the road..

I have not received final pricing yet either...crazy less than 4 weeks until my build date.

Oh no problem. But I think our U.S. cousins will be paying 2500.00 for the comp package and then adding EDC on top of it. The EDC mentioned in the comp package is the specific EDC "tune", not EDC itself. Therefore, like us here in Canada, EDC is a mandatory option if you choose to take ZCP. Take a peek at the U.S. Tech package. It's 3200 and change w/o ZCP and 2500 with EDC. You still have to add the cost of ZCP. At the end of the day, US retail is about 5000 USD, Cdn retail is about 6000 CDN.
