M3 runflat tires

Je reçois ma première M3 E92 et j'ai entendu des critiques mitigées sur les pneus à plat.

Quelqu'un peut-il me dire leur expérience avec ces pneus (pneus d'usine sur les roues à rayons Y)

Je n'ai aucune expérience avec eux parce que nos voitures utilisent des pneus réguliers de haute performance... AUCUN CRAP DE RUNFLAT...

M3s get regular tires: contis, pirellis or michelin ps2s

No spare either but it comes with a air pump and one of those foam tire repair kits

You can get runflat tires. And I believe Michelin makes the PS2 RFT (or zero-pressure) in stock sizes, but your car will ride like if it's on bricks, especially with 19s. And I can almost guarantee you'd have wheel damage when a tire shop is done with them. Also remember very few tire shops have the capability of installing such tires. In addition, NOBODY carries any inventory on those, they'd leave you stranded after 100 miles of flat running (50 is the official max), plus NOBODY will patch them, so they offer a false sense of security IMO. Unless you live in the bronx or a high-crime area and commute there in your M3, I'd suggest a regular tire and a nice flat repair kit like Stop'n Go. MUCH BETTER alternative . Your choice. Good day.

The guy at the dealership that pushes extended warranties insisted mine had run flats.
"No it doesn't"
"Yes, it's does"
"No it doesn't"
"You must be thinking of previous models, the new M3's have run flats"
"Uuuuh...no they dont"

This went on for a bit till we went to the car. Then he shut up.

In my experience, runflats will not ride stiffer than non-runflats with very stiff sidewalls, such as the AD08 and most R comp tires. I've never had a problem with a quality tire shop installing or repairing runflat tires. I'm not recommending them, but if someone prefers their run flat feature, they have improved to the point of offering high performance in certain tires.

No run flats, but if this makes you feel any better; when I picked up my vehicle at the BMW Welt, an employee tried to tell me that run flats were stock on the M3! I just looked at him, turned around, and walked away.

Just curious you all the way from TX picked the Bronx. Bronx isn't even listed as one of the most dangerous while a few cities of Texas are lol

You're not the only one... don't worry.

I had the very same experience at the 2011 Toronto International Auto Show, the BMW rep. (he was a Manager) said the tires are RFT on the ///M3 that was on display at the show when I asked him what kind of tires on this car (I was to lazy to bend down ) he replied RFT ... I Just and walked away.

I had (2) two Z4's with RFT (one was 2008 US build the last one was 2009 Germany build) ... never ever again it felt like driving the Fred Flindsone Mobile, you feel every little imperfection and bump in the road.

To the OP ... no worries the ///M3 does not have RFT (not yet anyway) If I was to order a new ///M3 then I would ask and make sure I get it in writing that the car I purchase has no RFT (just to make sure that BMW does not change there mind during production and assembly of the car).
