ind is your safe bet then modbargains
I was hoping to paint the whole trunk lid black except for the license plate area. I would definitely consider a used one though. I could go out and just buy the knock of one. I would have to justify the triple the price authentic one a little more haha.
Another option of trunk that look similar to the Ericsson trunk is the Arkym. Here's what it look like.

Installed on the White E92 M3:

Let me know if you need any help..
I'm actually not too big of a fan of the Arkym. It's shape seems in between the Vorsteiner and the Ericsson, but stands out too much and not up enough.
We do have the Ericsson Amuse CF style trunks available. Although these aren't installed on an M3, it'll give you a good idea on the look, quality, and of course fit on the car!

FYI: the Ericsson reps have terrible fitment, especially around the taillight area. The angle of the tail is slightly different than the authentic piece.

These do come up on the forums (wwjd15 for example), for much less than retail.
Just my 2cents, I don't like any of them. IMO they are too vulgar for the car.
But to each his own.
Alright, I'm gong to look a little into the fitment issues and see what I can do. Thanks for the input all.

Not sure what you mean as the installed pictures speak for themselves. You guys can also check out recent COTM winner ONNEX's E92 M3 who also has the Ericsson Style trunk which was purchased through us.
There are 2 significant flaws with this particular rep bootlid. Firstly, on the right side, their mold has a curve in it rather than being straight (see the circled area on the right side of the attached picture and compare it to the left side). Secondly, the main edge of the trunk is not straight but rather has waves in it (see the oval in the attached picture), which is noticeable on non-dark colors. As with most things, you get what you pay for.

All in all, the Ericsson CF style trunks is an affordable solution for those of you who are looking for an upgrade! I think most of the things you pointed out are from the angle in which the shot was taken and of course from lighting conditions. Here's another picture of one of our other customers 335i (excuse the bent tips - he did get into an accident and purchased a new Vanguard exhaust system recently) for you guys to check out as well.

Who exactly makes the knock off trunks anyway?

Sorry, I didn't mean to come across as overly critical. I have this bootlid on my car, which is how I know of these imperfections. Mine is AW and both imperfections are fairly noticeable as you can see in the photo. Perhaps on a black car it is not as much. It is decent for the money paid. In hind sight, I wish I had either bought an authentic lid or skipped this mod as these flaws bug me.

Wow, they really do stand out in white. The trunk looks great, but you can definitely see the two spots you highlighted. Where did you buy your trunk from?
That's disappointing. Here's an authentic Amuse for reference:

Wow, that is amazing looking.

That is ridiculous! I'd be pissed!

C'est décevant. Voici un véritable Amuse pour référence :

Est-ce que le couvercle de coffre authentique est NLA? Merci beaucoup.
