Not trying to start a controversy but this is why I don't care for Forza -

Turn 10 developer himself -
"As I mentioned earlier, graphics and car count/content were the priorities, and physics was behind those on the list. The desire was to make the game where anyone can pick up the controller and turn laps, obviously will sell more games if it isn't too difficult... Some of us fought HARD to make it more realistic/simulator or have an option for it and if someone can't drive it then turn on the assists and try again.... Didn't quite fly. It's more of a sim than Horizon games, but it isn't where I'd like it to be. A lot of the current middle management was hired from EA/Need for Speed studio, so that says something about the direction the execs were taking. It seems to work and as the head of the studio drives a brand new Ford GT these days. Traded simulation and catering to enthusiasts to a mass audience and piles of money."
I disagree... this is not meant to be an all out simulator that perfectly simulates vehicle dynamics. It's meant to be a mass market game, and its meant to be fun... I hated Gran Turismo for this exact reason.

Yeah, especially because not everyone can or wants to pay for a good wheel setup that's almost required for a true simulator. I downloaded Project Cars and it was basically unplayable with a controller. Forza is a good compromise of realism and accessibility.
I got Forza last week, havent been able to play a lot... seems fun to me. I broke down and bought the 100.00 version.

No, breaking down is what I did and paid $150 CDN for the VIP version, lmao. At least I was able to exploit the credit glitch for ~$105 million whilst it lasted and knocked out purchasing all the cars I could (minus the fookin' locked ones you have to get through loot crates; but that's not really an issue as I can buy tons of crates with my millions, mwahahaha).

It's prolly patched now (the money exploit), but I'm going to check again after work.
Spent all my money on loot crates trying to get the 991 gt3 rs. Fuckin lame
How can I get an M3, GT3 RS, Turbo S and 488?

right now loot boxes are the only way to get some cars. when the auction house opens im sure people will be selling them there for exorbitant amount.

Won mine as a prize for ranking up classes
I hate this loot box scam all games have going on now. F2P is fine since the devs gotta make money somehow but AAA titles from major studios is just plain money hungry scam.
Is it worth it to upgrade from Forza 6? My kids want to buy me that for Christmas.

Funny you mention this because the second I got home after work and fired up my console, there was another patch waiting to be installed. I have my console set to ask first before d/l'ing and installing any patches, so I disabled my internet connection and I can continue playing offline and use the credit exploit still until I'm satisfied (ie. buy as many loot crates as I wish).

Then and only then will I apply the latest patch that kills this current dev glitch. Turn 10 is hot damn fast with killing credit glitch patches, but I've read many others griping over legitimate game crashing glitches that are put on the back burner. Typical of devs tbh.

What crate is it in?

What crate is it in?
If you have your console setup to auto install updates, you're hooped and it'll already be patched. If you don't have updates auto installed like myself, stay on the latest version you have and you'll be ok; you just can't play online (I'd recommend disabling your internet).

Crates are 100% random so you never know what's in each crate until you purchase it, then open it.

Gotcha. There are different tiers of crates right? or is it just luck in any crate.

Not really tiers per se (that I've noticed), more just each crate is labeled having a select set of rewards they'll unlock if you buy them. Some guarantee Legendary drops for gear, mods, badges, cars etc. There's around 6-7 diff crate types you can spend your credits on.

Do you think the higher tier cars require a purchase of a higher crate?

Honestly don't know as I haven't really gone into that area all that much yet. Unlocked the sweet samurai driver gear though. :o
What is this credit glitch that you are speaking of?

At work so no access to YouTube, so I'd search there for videos from the last 5-7 days for 'Forza 7 money'. Essentially you're doing this:

- Head into Freeplay
- Pick Daytona on the oval track (there's 3 tracks available so pick the most oval one of the 3)
- Select a circuit race for 2 laps under Rise of the Furious (RotF is just what it's called and it's the bottom most selectable field within the circuit race screen)
- Set opponents to 0
- Set your Assist to 'Super Easy'
- Pick a car suitable for that track (it'll tell you if it is or isn't; I used an '81 BMW 850 myself)
- Start the race and simply hold the right trigger and nothing else (as it's already on 'Super Easy' the game'll do the rest for you)
- When the race is done, select 'Restart' until you see the screen where you can edit the race options again
- Change it from Circuit Race to Timed and make it to 30 secs
- Change Assist from 'Super Easy' to 'Veteran' and start the race again. You'll have to press buttons now to manually shift gears, that's fine, it won't affect the glitch at this point.
- Finish the race in 30 secs and then select 'Restart' and when you get to the screen where it displays the credits you just won (it'll be a shitty amount of credits) don't touch ANYTHING
- Leave that screen on your TV alone for a minimum of 2 minutes (go take a piss or something, lol)
- Press the 'Al button and the screen should freeze and boot you to the main dash of your console.
- Load the game back up and when you're at the main screen, tab over to rewards and you should have around 164ish new rewards for credits, cars or driveatars. If you go for just the credit rewards, it work out to be around 3.5 million credits.

That's it. Rinse, repeat to your hearts desire. Typed out it seems like a shit ton, but all in it takes about 3 minutes to do each time (well, 5 I guess including the wait time at the end).

Damn man! Thanks for typing all that out.
I think it's been patched.
I would say I really enjoy this game overall but there are some things that for the life of me I can't understand-

1) How is there so much bumping allowed? How does the AI not penalize drivatars for bumping? Half this game is god damn bumper cars and crash derby.

2) In all of the rain / dark scenarios, is the game too dark? In my opinion, it gets to the point where you cannot see the track... is this normal?

3) Does anyone feel the dynamics of some cars are way off? The M2 is incredible in every way whereas the 911 Turbo is an effective piece of shit that has the brakes of a Yugo.

4) Does anyone know a good strategy for this game? I am now able to purchase level 4 cars and am about halfway thru the game... are there any secrets anyone knows?

I believe in the settings you can change the aggressiveness of the drivers.

I have no problem seeing the track at all.

Cant comment because i havent driven either car. I feel as if this forza is a lot less punishing than the last...

Every time I level up i always take the car. This way each level I own more cars so I can purchase any vehicle. Half way?? Sheesh I think im on the third level on single player.
