The new Grand Seiko GMT sport collection looks great. I saw the blue dial, and green dial version. I have to say, the watch is beautiful. Looks nicer than a Rolex. The SBGN005G is my preference. It’s craftsmanship, and material is top notch.
Anyone have a Samurai SRPB55. What’s you take on it? Thanks.

I've owned a couple of Samurai watches, Ti and SS, but not that particular watch. They are a bit thick when compared to other Seiko divers.

Like most Seikos, they're a lot of watch for the money.

Was visiting Canada, and saw the new 2019 Seiko 5 models. Supposedly it replaces the SKX model. I loved the SRPD65K. It’s not sold in the states I hear, until October. Having seen both the SKX, and SRPD65K. I’m sold on the new Seiko 5 line. Price was $425.00 Canadien.
The new 2019 Seiko 5 line has some really nice watches.
My beater Pepsi skx007..

The new Seiko 5 Sport line are nice, but for the same money, I would rather have a Turtle.

I want to buy a Seiko watch, but I have not decided on a model. I’m looking at one of these. So soon I will also become the owner and send the photo :)
Good choice, can't go wrong with Seiko - I love my SKX.

But a terrible 'best of' list (or is this post just a spam for them?). They list the skx twice, and their links are to online sellers who are iffy and WAY overpriced - looks more like a marketing tool than a real best-of. Try Island Watch (or other reliable vendors) for better selection and pricing.
I have an m-nato also and looks pretty hideous on most things especially a watch with red and blue already that dont match. Looks like a clown. Mine is more of a novelty just like the gulf livery one wouldn't actually put it on a watch unless a 10 year old was gonna wear it.

I guessed I like looking like a clown or maybe I'm just losing it as I approach my big 5-0 :D

Love wearing my fun watch...why does everything have to be color coordinated or so dull? I also got the Gulf and Martini livery nato as well.

Maybe I'm a bigger dork than you. Congrats I'm also closing in on 50.
I love seiko’s

Nice Alpinist. Would like one, however I’m not paying way over MSRP.

I was annoyed I had to pay over msrp... I paid $900 all in I think
That’s what’s stopping me. The other 3 colors don’t really do anything for me. The blue is a winner. Enjoy it.

The new ones have a cyclops... and a X on the dial... I would highly recommend getting the blue or an older green one

Regardless put a strapcode bracelet on it... feels like a $5-10k watch
Don’t like the cyclops on that watch. My SS Submariner Date, and SS 36mm DateJust have the cyclops. I also enjoy my Sarb033. A lot of watch for the price. If the green one didn’t have the gold indices, I would’ve got one. Not a fan of gold. I prefer a simple dial.
What sucks is when the Blue Alpinist went on sale. It’s was sold out within minutes. Grey market dealers bought them up to flip. Now us watch enthusiasts, have to pay the price. Even Hoodinkee had them in minutes. Total BS.

I actually don't mind having a cyclop, but there's no blue on the Prospex Alpinist and you still can't get it for less than $700! I would not want to pay more than $500 or so for an Alpinist :sigh:
I finally got my act together and figured out how to resize the band so I can wear this. Extra credit as the collars didn't work like the videos said they would. It's a special edition Blue Lagoon IIRC. I'd started to shop new blue divers and I figured it was stupid to not get this into use instead. Bigger and heavier than my skx for sure.

Just picked up a Presage Cocktail SRPE41 from Amazon. 20-25% off made it hard to ignore.
