For those looking, the 6D is the entry level full frame DSLR offering from Canon. I have this camera and it has a great full frame sensor on it. As an entry level it is slower than the 5D and 1D variants as far as the time it takes from focusing to releasing the shutter.

If you are interested in astrophotography this body is excellent for that. It has a wider dynamic range than its peers of this generation. Coupled with a rokinon 24mm manual lens and a star focus tool you can get great images with 10 second exposures using bulb mode and a clear sky on a new moon.

I am interested in this. Not right this second as I am about to go on vacation, but if it is still around in a couple of weeks I might just need to pick this up for my girlfriend and retire the 60D that she uses.
