So here's the thing. It seems that perhaps your response is the type of thing that has got politics banned on this forum. I'm sorry my quotes don't live up to your standard, and I appreciate your suggestion that I change new sources and read more of the books that you think are good.

How about this one:

Be the change you want to see in the world.

The Mahatma
The quote is fine.
No need to go where your editorial is headed (& who said you should read books that I said were good?)! That's the kind of stuff that gets us all banned....
But keep being your cute self!

I don't know about cute, but I am fucking charming.

Is charming your wife's first name? Odd first name, but an interesting one to be sure. If not, I just can't positively see how your statement is true. :)

Trust me, it's true.

Come now, that response is hardly the silver tongue the Irish are known for. You'll have to wax a little more eloquently if you wish to convince me.

Nah, I suspect you and I would get along quite well. And thankfully, I'm not charming. :D

So cute is "short fat and bow legged", or a puppy.

I am an almost 60 year old broken, and beaten graduate of the school of hard knocks. I haven't seen it all, but not much surprises me. So am I cute, not since I was 5 years old and in britches. I am scared and hardened. I use humour and charm to get through it all. I studied philosophy to exercise my mind, I know what fork, spoon and knife to use. I have rubbed elbows with the very rich and very powerful and the downtrodden, I like them better. I'll quote a guy who I worked with a long time ago, he had a Masters in Chinese and Russian literature and worked as a copper. We had been working a very long night and had dealt with a number of folks who had ended up in the pipes.....I'll never forget Billy saying to me in the wee hours that "the pen is mightier than the sword, but if you really want to fuck someone use a typewriter".

Coppers had lots of great things to say, that I often quote. Mostly crude, and almost alway right on point and true as fuck.
there's a quote I use often but not sure where it's from - "It has a certain.... Jenny Se, oh I don't know what"

Surely you get points for license, just not for "poetic" license.
Now go play with your tubes.

And I'm really not a Kennedy fan

Also:
"You just shot an unarmed man"
"He should've armed himself"

One of the greatest political quotes of modern times!

The above R. Reagan quote is also great, in its simplicity.
