Voyager 1 was launched in 1977 and has been travelling for 47 years, 8 months, 2 days (As of now) and about 'only' 16 billion miles away. Considering that astronomical distances are measured in light years, the probe is basically next door.

You write this like a history textbook. I saw Voyager 1 when it was only zero miles from Earth, and watched it launch in 1977 with my own eyes.....
