Photos of how the front mats fit, and compared to BMW mats. Fronts only as the rear BMW mats are good enough.

They fit the shape of the floor well and seems like it'll be more secure than the BMWs which slide forward and bunch up on the gas pedal. The left rear edge almost has no wall to it, so this would probably be useless in snowy weather. Don't know what they were thinking with that. Wish it were tighter around the gas pedal, it'll probably still gather dirt there and need vacuuming underneath.

The internet says the logo can be removed or sharpied out, and I'll probably do that too.

16 year old car... still talking about floor mats. Hope this will help anyone trying to keep things tidy for the next 16. To help with searchability: 3Dmaxspider 3D Maxspider mats E90.

It's been a bit! How are you liking these 2 years in?
They're working really well so far. They stay in place nicely and haven't caused any issues. I've been thinking about getting the rears as well.
They look nice! Seems like a good option.

What were the old ones? Definitely not BMW mats. Plus the driver's side was missing the grommet to keep it from sliding forward.
I just assumed they were BMW; the tread pattern matches the mats in the rear and the rears are perfectly shaped to the floor. Perhaps the fronts were from the same era but not for e90? Went to see if I could find them and look for a part number but I may have gotten rid of them already.
So I learned something. Your old mats are the rubber "winter" mats, technically they are BMW, but not the M3 mats. I wonder if the previous owner bought them at the dealership or something, and wonder what happened to the original mats. Either way, they are ugly and glad you got rid of them.

These are the mats that the M3s came with https://www.bimmerworld.com/BMW-Interior/BMW-Interior-Floor-Mats/Genuine-BMW-Accessories-M-Carpet-Floor-Mats-Black-82112293526.html
Appreciate the knowledge share, the originals with the embroidery look excellent.

The floor mats are the tip of the iceberg when it comes to previous owner mysteries on this car.:mad0260:
