Howdy!

New user here. I am slowly picking up on some of the abbreviations commonly used here on e90post, but am not 100% certain about some. I also tried using the advanced search function, so if there is a thread where this is discussed, please send me there, but I could not find any good results. I'm also not looking for standard internet acronyms, but here's what I know (I think) so far and what I am still confused about:

SA- Service Advisor or Sales Advisor?
CA- Usually means Comfort Access
CA- Sometimes means Customer Advisor?

TiAg=Titanium Silver
SG=Sparkling Graphite
AW=Alpine White
ZSP=Sport Package
ZPP=Premium Package
PDC=Park Distance Control

Anyone care to add or clarify these? Thanks!:dance:

i usually associate SA with service advisor and CA with client advisor. also depends on what is being talked about, for example SA could mean south africa build and CA comfort access.
Ahh! Way too obvious for me, then. Thanks!

This is the sticky at the top of the general forum:

BMW-related ABBREVIATIONS thread
and a good and useful reference point it is.

There is one error in the sticky. SA is not sales advisor. BMW uses CA for the salesperson, which is Client Advisor (listed in the post). SA is correctly listed as being service advisor, which is its only meaning in this context.
SG has been confused at times with the new Space Grey color. It's difficult to interpret in context because they're usually talking about colors already.
Jason,

I am having trouble figuring out some of the E90 Posts acronyms. I have figured out that;

BTW = by the way
IMHO = in my honored option

Is there a post with all of the frequently used acronyms? If not, what do the following mean?

LOL = ???
BUMP = ???

Thanks

Wallyf :)

If you're looking for more technical/BMW-related acronyms, check this sticky:
BMW-related ABBREVIATIONS thread

For more colloquial acronyms used online, check out the urban dictionary:
http://www.urbandictionary.com
the acronyms you listed are not E90post specific, but are considered 'internet lingo'

IMHO = in my humble opinion

lol = laughing out loud

bump = 'bumping' a thread that has been dead/cold for a while, bringing it the top, so more people can read it

for a list, check out

boy i am glad we are not being tested on acronyms before we could post. That list is growing so ever longer...
why does sport package and premium package have a z in front? like zsp and zpp.
