Action packed, instead of F14's you have F1's.

I just want to say, that is a nice M4 racing at Daytona in the trailer.

To be such a huge consumer market we don't get A LOT of good stuff. Even "Hot hatches" are rare

I enjoyed Ferrari, the 2023 movie, and it had some fairly good racing action. But it might be my bias, since we spent time in Modena right before the movie was released. In fact, the Canalgrande hotel, where we stayed, was the sight of the final scene in the movie.

Just finished watching F1: The Movie with Brad Pitt. Honestly, the visuals are absolutely stunning — the racing scenes feel incredibly immersive, like you’re right there on track. Brad Pitt delivers a solid performance, and the chemistry with the rest of the cast works well. The story itself is pretty familiar and follows some classic tropes, nothing groundbreaking, but it doesn’t really matter because the film is all about the adrenaline and atmosphere. If you’re an F1 fan or just love high-octane action, it’s definitely worth checking out, especially on the big screen.

Just saw as well. IMHO - does not have the story that FvF or Rush had. I mean, it is fiction. Not as much about the cars either. It is way more hokey than those two movies. The story, etc. But - it is a good watch and would be a good one to take a wife/GF to - who isn't as much a car geek.

As a long-time avid F1 fan, I hated it.

However, I think that it will have the same effect as Top Gun did (for naval aviation and enlistment rates) where people who have no understanding of the sport get really excited about it and either 1) start watching the real thing or 2) start getting into karting or sports car racing.

I also rolled my eyes at "Ford vs. Ferrari" as I've read about ten books on the situation. I highly recommend "Go Like Hell" by A.J. Baime to get the real story.

It was okay, but not worth re-watching. Ford v. Ferrari and Le Mans are much better films, especially Le Mans, because CGI didn't exist in 1971. 👍

I think Rush is the best one. Both Thor and Daniel Brühl were great.

F1 movie was Top Gun for F1. Just suspend disbelief and go along for the ride and it is good entertainment.

I think Sylvester Stallone in Driven even though it was INDY was a better movie for auto racing than this. Also with a retired older driver helping a younger up and coming hero. Having to create caution laps to win a race is kind of cheesy to me.
