Had a pretty loud ticking noise from the engine under load recently. It only appeared above 3000 rpms and followed the rpms. I changed the oil last August, about 3500 miles ago with LM 10w-60. Just changed the oil this morning with RL 10w-60 and after it was up to temp, tried revving again. Same sound. I pushed it a little higher to about 5k and now the ticking is worse and shows up at about 1000 rpms. Do I have a bad hydraulic lifter or is it something else like valve springs? I'm assuming at this point, no additive will help...
