I realize this might be a long shot, but I'm hoping someone can help me troubleshoot an issue I'm facing.
I recently serviced my DCT transmission—replaced the pan and gasket, swapped out both filters, and filled it with fresh DCT fluid. Everything went smoothly during the process.
However, after I finished and was draining the old fluid from the catch can, I discovered a broken rubber gasket (pictured below-put next to key for size refernce and you can see that it's broke as well) at the bottom. I’ve been trying to identify where it came from, but I’m stumped. It’s not from the filters, the pan, or the suction jet pump (which I removed to access the larger filter). I ordered a new one thinking that's what it was and it's not the same size. Will install the new one next time I drop the pan.
I’ve only started the car and moved it a short distance down my driveway. I’m hesitant to drive it until I know where that gasket came from. I’ve already purchased extra fluid in case I need to drop the pan again for inspection, but I’d really prefer to avoid that if possible.
Any insight or guidance would be greatly appreciated!
