F1 2025: Hungarian GP - Hungaroring (Aug 3)

I have a Ford Focus ST for a daily driver and I have to say it has been very reliable and fun to drive.

I’m not a huge Ford fan but there isn’t much of a selection of hot hatch’s here in the states.

Through the decades I've owned 3 Fords. All gave great service.
And I've been having a good time with this 1955 Ford for the last 25 years.

One of my cars (primarily driven by my wife) is a Mach E GT Performance. First American car I've ever owned and it's been largely flawless. Not sure I will go electric again but it's fun and 634 lb-ft of torque never gets old.

Windsor being a bit picky about Lando and looking into it too much, at Spa in those conditions spring suspension (Piastri) was always going to be more stable than no spring suspension (Lando).

My wife has a 2022 Lincoln Aviator that we bought brand new and built ourselves to spec and took delivery of it late 2022, we have received 3 recall letters in the mail over the course of this past month on issues they know are present but do not have a fix for. It's been an electrical nightmare but the wife still loves it but it's a more so love / hate relationship. Still looks sharp though.

I almost bought a Mustang 6MT for my daily but I got (physically) sick, and after some testing I bought a Kia EV9 truck instead for dailying. It's like riding on a private jet.

Respectfully I disagree. I think it is a clever move for Max because his team have negotiated him into the perfect wait and see position.

If Ford and RBR nail the spec and produce the fastest car (I'm reasonably confident this is unlikely but you never know) then he stays where he is.

If the 2026 RBR car sucks he has so many out clauses in his contract he can easily walk away.

If he became available there would be a bidding war so there would definitely be somewhere for him to go. If not, he has indicated he is happy racing in other motorsport disciplines so it would be F1's loss.

So a bit of short term pain for long term gain, he is, for want of a better pun, in the driving seat.
