Has anyone had a set powder coated/Cerakoted all black? Intrested how these would look. Always liked jango's all black E88's. Figured it would have the same look.

Just get the E88s. Jango's rides are amazing with those black E88s.

Made in China doesnt always mean low quality.
Apex wheels are VIA certified in Japan through independent 3rd party testing.
There are countless people tracking their wheels without issues.
For those in the market for a nice looking wheel for their road car, Apex is a great choice.
Hoping someone posts an all back photo, like the OP, I have been waiting for some black examples to see.

95% of wheels, including OEM wheels are from Taiwan. Even HRE wheels are from Taiwan forged blanks - they had to adjust their "made in america" language recently. Should every single person on the world who's running wheels from Taiwan immediately sell their wheels and buy BBS? lol
If someone wants to pay the premium for Japanese origin forged wheels - go at it.
From a material and manufacturing engineering perspective Forged wheels are so commoditized nowadays that anyone - even a high school kid can design a forged wheel and source an OEM/VIA/TUV quality wheel for pennies on the dollar. I mean I did this myself for an engineering project when I was a junior in college. A few hours of CAD and FEA testing is all it takes.
It's no longer the 1980s where fOrGeD wheels are some breakthrough science. Anyone can source 6061-T6 and buy a forging press for pennies on the dollar. I could care less if the forging press is running in Taiwan, US, Indonesia or Japan.

Fifteen52 has a wheel similar to the ML10RT called the holeshot and offers it in all black if I remember correctly. That could give you a good idea.

Ideally, you want lighter wheels to reduce unsprung mass and improve street ride quality. As an “FYI” for a prior post, you do NOT “test” anything with the analytical finite element method (FEM). “Testing” still means physically load/strength testing. Also, FE models are only as accurate as they are modeled and most result in GIGO.

I would bet at this point that Apex wheels have more laps than any other brand in the last decade simply due to how prolific they are.
the amount of bent APEX wheels i see is insane. i know of at a least 3 people who have gone and gotten more than half a dozen wheels replaced in the last year.

I am on some of the VSR5's and have no issues. Granted I am not very fast, but I did go landscaping one day.
I'd love a set of TE's, but my wallet won't.

Also if you go to a track day, you see apex wheels. At car shows you see BBS. I love their wheels but it’s prestige/clout versus a practical track wheel.

I've personally slightly bent one ARC8 but my SM10s and VS5-RS' are still perfect circles after a few years of getting hammered on.

The ta5r are great wheels, but no wheel is immune to bending. Bent a oem forged m4 gt4 wheel at vir this past weekend, it happens!
