EV folks are a odd mix of environmentalist misinformed people and transportation economy (Miles/mpg) Miles/kwh) and technology buyers. IMO not serious car people but serious technology people. Everyone could get along fine were not the heavy hand of government constantly tipping the scales. Didnt this happen to Porsche, Mercedes, Audi, etc. recently? Too much confidence in the Chinese market. It just doesnt work long term, the data shows.
As for this Luce? I cannot believe anyone would pay money for this thing. But, the Pontiac Aztek also had buyers so theres that.
I have a few friends who ordered one because of the allocation bait. I'm sure I'll see one in person sooner rather than later and drive it.

The Temerario is seeing soft demand because people don't like the exhaust, I know of at least 2 deals that walked once they drove it, but this also means they have SICK 1 pay lease options if anyone wants one. Put an exhaust on it and done. I may swap my Artura for a temerario. Also they huck rocks everywhere because of the exposed rear tires.
Revuelto SV is being offered for existing owner allocations, supposedly no J variant, still will be heavy as hell and slow

Ferrari especially as of late has gone all goofy with their modern styling. They arent just not good-looking, their like pretty much ugly. I get excited when I see like a 458 or anything from that era or older. Huge woody for the 80's and 90's cars. It just isnt working anymore. Never thought we'd get here but we are.
Modern Lambos are better overall and still retain the proper shape. But there are too many ducts, scoops, folds, creases, wings, etc. Im not a fan of most of that. I prefer clean lines. Like the Murcielago and such. Gallardo & Huracan got it right.
And lets not even get into the battery stuff.
Just my 4 cents.
Deposits (presumably) on 500 units in 2 months representing $200 million in revenue seems like a win to me. Especially on a car that is a big, big departure for Ferrari, as we all note.
I don’t think Ferrari stays up late thinking about our validation, just like BMW proved the G8X M was a good decision (out of many they could have taken). If I had a dollar for every comment vilifying the G8x looks, I’d be able to afford a Luce…which would get me on the list for a better looking Ferrari….

.Overall though, My sports/exotics/muscle/etc must be petrol powered. I just cannot get on with batteries being what drives cars in that class of vehicle. Id take a petrol-based turbo over any hybrid or EV is what Im saying.

Its also incredibly dumb that you have to buy one of their UN-desirble cars just to have a chance at one of their slightly more desirable cars. And some of of those are fugly too, IMO.
It never used to be like this. As I said, any bloke with the resources could stroll into a Ferrari dealer and usually get what they wanted. Thats long gone. Its one thing to keep production numbers low and whatever. Its another thing to play this chicken-shit game they are playing with "Buy our lame SUV and then maybe you can order an XXXX model". Sorry, thats just whack.

Well, to be fair, it is a complete redesign of the 3 series with a totally new look which will carry across all BMW models eventually. The huge grill days are gone and something had to replace it. I am a bit surprised too that they cribbed the Camaro.
Just like the G8x series, we’ll get to suffer through years of professional reviews and attention economy influencers vilifying the new M3’s looks, weight, size, dash, etc., etc. This angst will eventually turn to begrudging admiration and finally to outright fawning towards the end of the lifecycle of the new car. Just like the G80, E46, E36, et al.
Meanwhile, despite all the spilled ink, BMW will sell in huge numbers the new M3s and M4s.
