Hi all,
My 2003 745Li iDrive spins freely and the "press" function works, but it when turning the knob the "cursor" stays on screen without moving except for a very intermittent random jump to the next or prior selectable field. Once depressed, the unit goes to the proper screen/field. So essentially it works with a lot of patience and trial and error.
The button also spins on its own left or right and sometimes continues to spin until depressed when turning it.
I'm wondering if it's the Joystick/Console controller unit or Control Module or low power from the battery or other cause?
