Unfortunately, this does not work on the 08 M3 as they did not come with DVD video functionality.

i dont understanding coding..... does this mean you dont need that little dvd in motion box connected to your idrive anymore? its all done by computer codes now?

For locals, that is correct. We can code your car to enable the DVDinMotion option without the need for an external module. If you're not local to us, the smartTV would be your best option next to taking a trip to our facility
