Cheers,

I have an offer on the m performance exhaust for $3500 and 15% off the installation. Do you guys think I have a good deal. I listened to many videos on line but didn't get the chance to listen to one in real life, this thing sounds awesome. Thing is, when i listened to it on line, i felt that the car is louder as a whole, the engine is louder, it all sounded awesome. What do you guys think about it and what exactly they are going to replace?
No
You can probably find a better deal elsewhere. Installation is a DIY.
The price matches the best deal I saw online. Where are you guys seeing better deals?

GL with install. Having a buddy and a case of beer helps sometimes with putting it back in. When you see the 4 red hangers, instead of removing the bracket for it you can even spray them with WD40 and use a pry bar to slide them out. Spray in some WD40 to remove them from the OEM to install to the performance muffler and push them back into the subframe using the pry bar.

There is no link. It's simply a DIY job. If you get under the car, you will see how easy it is.
That exhaust is overpriced for the sound you get.

LOL, since when is exhaust price = sound???

ridiculous statement.... you can certainly argue it's over-priced but it's not b/c of the sound it puts out.

Im sorry when you buy a muffler you are mainly looking to change the sound.....

Oh you must be one of those guys who thinks you can get 15whp from a muffler swap lol...... carry on.

What do u think about the exhaust quality as compared to others out there
Not sure if there are any performance gains from the M exhaust, but a free flow mid section will yield 20whp on a bone stock M3 ... this is even with OEM muffler. It will also change the sound of the "whole car". Midpipes can be found from $1,000 - $1,500 on the forums. Even though they are used, they don't lose hp with wear.

They look high quality and made of iconel I believe. The only thing this exhaust has going for it IMO is the ///M tips. They look cool and match the car. I wanted this exhaust when it first came out then I heard it..... I was underwhelmed. An Eisenmann Race looks and sounds better for less money IMO

Not to mention a few months ago it seemed like someone new was trying to sell their ///M Performance exhaust every week on here.
The M Performance Exhaust sounds awesome, especially above 4000 RPM, where the harmonics of it are beautiful! Think Godzilla.

As for price, I think there are better prices out there. (Your dealer may be interested in matching what you find.)

You might want to paint the cans first. They're pretty ugly and shiny.

FWIW I have an Eisenmann Race now, and its price isn't much different.

The cans you mean the exhaust pipe ends? They look a bit dark but cool on line, never saw them on a car yet.
I mean the cans, not the pipes. Like Image hosted on: www.m3post.com
