Pretty sure the waiting time is a lot longer. The 100 signifies the 100th anniversary of Le Mans, and only 100 were made.
better chance at Platinum Daytona then the LeMans one.

Platinum Daytona is pretty obtainable. I did not have to wait long for one. Not many people out there willing to spend $75-80k on a watch (AD prices). It's the stainless models which are actually more difficult to get from an AD. Then of course the off catalog pieces like the Rainbow, which go to VIPs only... I have one :D

The Le Mans Daytonas were already issued to people Rolex had in mind at release. They have since decided to resell theirs for as high as $400,000 when they were first released, and now settling around $200,000 in the grey market.

Le Mans is not LE. I have been on the AD list in Berlin since June 11th. In Germany it currently costs €52,500 including tax.
The Snoopy I ordered will certainly arrive sooner. :happyanim:

The initial 100 were, especially the first 2. They are producing them for the masses but different serial #.
Messing with my Nikon D7500 NIKKOR 40mm micro lens!

Wearing one of my dad’s watches today. Not really my style as it’s a bit of an old man watch lol, but I must say I really like the way the 36mm fits my smaller wrist more so than the 41mm I usually wear.

My 16613.

Always liked this color combo on a sub.

I've had my Daytona Cosmograph since 1973. Wore it to work regularly in my career from the late 70's to early 90's. Pretty much stopped after the Rolex Brand got popularized in music videos. Was also told after my last servicing, that oem parts were very hard to find for this model. Then, was offered cash and a trade, so that could have just been an attempt to make me fall for their deal. Will likely pass it along to my son.

What an incredible piece! Ref. 6262? Apparently not a big seller when it was released in the 70s... making it now one of the rarest watches!

It's actually a 1967 Rolex Daytona, Ref. 6239. Got it during my Military Assignment in Germany. Was there as one of the last Lottery Draftees of 72-73.;) With the exception of the 73 Oil Embargo, it was a great Tour of Duty.:)

Wow! I’ve always wanted one. Or an Omega Speedmaster.

Still good looking, passing it along, priceless move...
As a reminder, Watches and Wonders in Geneva is April 9-15 (13-15 for public viewing) this year.

I'm paying attention, as I'm very interested to see if The Crown will come out with a white-faced Explorer.

After I was Grounded last July, I told my AD that if and when I got my FAA Medical back, I was going to order a 40mm Explorer from her (and have a black perforated strap w/ red stitching made for it-- I've seen one and it's *stunning*). It would be my "I survived something that should have killed me" watch.

I just got the results from my final medical testing back and both of my cardiologists (electrophysiologist and interventional) think that there's no reason for me to not fly again. I'll submit my package to the FAA in about ten days and then have to wait six months for the FAA to make a decision.

I told my AD to expect to see me in October to pick up my Explorer. However, if a white-face Explorer comes out, that'll change my request as I already have a black faced Sub and Air King.

Rolex introduced a new GMT Master II model with gray / black bezel one both available with Oyster or Jubilee band as well .
I think that's the only novelty I would be interested in Rolex

The 1908 is also nice, for a dress watch.

I have my GMT Master II LN (the full black bezel). I do like the new release with the black/grey, but would never switch my LN out for it!

Sadly, no white-faced Explorer. I was really hoping that rumor panned out as I thought it would have been a great look and would have offered symmetry with the white-faced Explorer II.

Oh well, there's always next year.

I agree - that would have hit it out of the park.

No new Milgauss, either; which I'm secretly happy about since I purchased the now discontinued model right before W&W last year right before its was discontinued!
