Hey guys so ive been dealing with this issue for a couple months now.

2008 e92 m3 with 50k miles.

Car starts to idle roughly and goes into limp mode.

Codes show up as:
2b35
2b36
2b37
2b38
^all of these are for misfires through cylinders 1-4

and also 2b41 and 2b44.

Ive already had my o2 sensor for bank one replaced and my idle control valve.

Really not sure where to go from here without replacing the throttle actuator which im dreading paying out of pocket for.

Be sure to check the error codes wiki:

Also if you're handy with tools, replacing the throttle actuator should be a pretty easy job. Maybe 2-3 hours at most.
Thanks man, I actually just looked through your thread earlier today before I posted this.

I don't mind doing it myself I just don't want to have to pay for an 800$ part and it not solving anything haha. And from what I've read if it is the actuator there should be a code for it and i don't have one..
There are factory procedures for testing the throttle actuators and idle control valve. Since this is only in one bank, it's likely the actuator for that bank or an oxygen sensor on that side. It could also be the ICV but normally that will cause faults in both banks.

Actuators fail both mechanically and electronically. In your case it's more likely to be a mechanical failure of the plastic gears.

2B41 is simply a code that describes that there were multiple misfires stored.

2B44 is a more serious fault pertaining to Cylinder 3.

I would test that actuator first, hopefully it is not an issue with the valves or valve springs on that side.

Good luck!
