I think the clear coat is particularly soft ... at least on my car.
I also have very fine scratches behind the door handles - just because my finger nails have brushed against the paintwork when opening the door.
(and before anyone else says it perhaps I shouldn't have had extensions done at the nail bar - ho ho ho).
