ROUGH COLD START ( LEAKY INJECTORS?)

Has anyone had leaky fuel injector issues? Tried doing lots of fish myself and narrows it down to either injectors or sensor issues, (car was misfiring and running rough on cold start), eventually to no prevail and lack of tools, took the car to BMW and they said all 6 injectors are leaking. They suggest rebuilding them, is that viable and worth it? Buddy said to replace them outright it would be 9 grand to go through BMW, rebuilding them would be about 200-250 per injector not including labor, seems like a no brainer.

Backstory - Bought the car from an old lady who’s husband passed (was his car), it’s got 160k on it, 335i N54 engine, through my first week of ownership it would pop CEL light and misfire codes left and right, I cleaned MAP and TMAP sensors and seems to maybe make things better? I was clearing codes after each experiment, ran deadpan through a couple tanks of gas, so far things have gotten better but not GREAT. It doesn’t through CEL lights up or misfire codes as often, the only code that is consistently popping up is “bank 2 running lean”. BMW said it’s because injectors are leaking overnight and on cold start the system pulls back fuel from the car running rich which will then throw up a “running lean” code (hopefully that makes sense) fuel trims are also uneven, bank #2 has a higher fuel trim than all others. WOP they go to zero which is normal.

What does everyone think?
