Hello together,
most of the misfire problems occur when the engine is cold or cold start. But in my case, when the engine is cold, it runs almost perfectly! But after 20 minutes and the engine has warmed up: Misfiring occurs on cylinder 3. The engine has a jerky power response, idling is jerky. It jerks when accelerating. Problem still exist, when I restart the engine. The next day, engine is cooled down, it runs perfectly again. When headed up, problem exists again. I have renewed ignition coils and spark plugs -> nothing changed, problem still exists. Replaced injector 3 with a replacement injector from a friend -> no change, problem still exists. I sent injector 3 to a professional workshop -> no fault could be found with the injector, it was cleaned and the gaskets were renewed -> nothing changed, problem still exists. I have the feeling that this car wants to screw me. Is my first BMW, always thought the problems are exaggerated. I'm about to set the car on fire. PLEASE HELP!!! |

Misfires can be many things. Best get your car's fault codes read, then you'll know what needs replacing.
