Bump travel

I want to go to a softer front and rear. My front springs has a 4.11 inch stroke once loaded the spring deflects 2.10 inch leaving the spring 2.01 inch stroke in the spring and 3.02 inch stroke on the damper. Obviously less than 3.02 inch because I do lower the spring more with a helper spring, and also I have my damper setup so the wheels doesn't hit anything under max compression. Here is my dilemma, is a 7 inch long spring 280 lbs spring ok. The spring has 4 46 inch stroke. Once the spring is under load it deflects 3 inch leaving me 1.46 inch stroke on the spring and 2.12 inch on the damper. It's easier to coil bind vs the 400 lbs spring. In order to prevent coil blind I would lower the 2.12 inch damper stroke to 1.75 inch via spring perch then my bump stop is .75 inch leaving me 1 inch of bump travel before bump stop is engaged. Is 1 inch of travel ok. Obviously if I get a longer spring I have more spring stroke.

Is 1 inch of bump stroke ok?
Is the 7 inch length, 280lb spring ok?
