BBS RF on E90 328i xDrive

I wanted an 18x8 for the 328 since it's not making crazy power and I enjoy breaking traction. I spent a lot of time looking for nice, light, forged wheels and originally wanted the Work CR Kiwami, but had trouble finding the right fitment with a 5x120 bolt pattern. I discovered this rare(?) model from BBS called the RF. It's a split five spoke design similar to the old RK forged by Washi Beam in Japan. I got a great price on a used set of RF513 wheels (18x8 +35 5x120) and wrapped them in 235/40r18 Continental Extreme Contact Sport 02 tires.

The wheels weigh 17lbs each compared to the 25lb stockers and fitment is almost identical to stock other than the slightly wider tire. I can definitely feel that the acceleration is a little less sluggish and steering is more responsive. On the downside, it feels like my Bilstein B8's are slightly overdamped now that they're swinging lighter hammers, so to speak, but it's nothing major.

What'd you have to do to get the BMW center caps on there?

The 56mm center caps from the G series fit in without modification.

What size were you running before?

17x8 245/45 the outer diameter is a little smaller with these tires.
