Brake Light Switch issue?
Hi all,
Had a few issues recently, car has been garaged for over 2 years and so replaced the battery, went to start and my key fob was dead so it wasn’t picking it up. Got the key battery replaced, started up no problems. I then see the warning “Gear may be selected without pushing brake pedal” (or something like that), so ran a quick scan. Codes I’m getting are: 51AE EGS - signal from engine management implausible: brake light switch 9CBD FRM - Communication with step motor controller on the left disrupted 9CBE FRM - Communication with step motor controller on the right disrupted 9CC1 FRM - communication with mirror, drivers side disrupted 9CC2 FRM - communication with mirror, passengers side disrupted A0B0 CAS - input, Brake lights, implausible 2F64 DME - brake light test switch plausibility 2EF5 DME - map thermostat activation 2F63 DME - brake light switch plausibility 2EFE DME - electric fan activation Brand new Bosch battery to match existing Car revs and idles fine, mirrors and windows work fine, brake lights come on when pressing brake pedal. Main thing that’s now different is I can put it in drive or reverse without pressing brake pedal. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |
